It did not increase productivity anywhere on any enterprisehttps://www.tekniikkatalous.fi/uutiset/a/2d6a3f46-7c5e-46bc-977f-bfcf9d126416Research lab Labore CEO Miikka Malignranta said its a bit like 1980 now.The AI will eventually increase productivity its just not there yet. AI cant control itself and humans dont yet know how to properly utilize it. Creating videos and music doesnt create assembly lines where cars and television screens come out from. There was a noticeable productiviy increase in USA during 1995 by computers. Thats because computers became then more useful than what they were in 1985.>For 10 years productivity started to sky rocket it ended at 2005>It was fueled by computer revolution, comptuer was nary but a calculator in 1985, not much more, things changed a lot by 1995 thoughActually many AI revelations were invented in early 1990s but computers were powerful enough to research AI theories only by 2013, not earlier. Also it took two decades to create suitable programs for that.AI did not appear "out of nowhere" in 2020 it has been in the making in 2010 earliest. But there is now evidence that "young companies" can do better than old ones, regarding AI because old companies will not jump into the bandwagon as thoroughly as is required.Old jobs will eventually disappear and replaced with new, AI influenced jobs. This will eventually happen in manufacturing cars and TV. Maybe not in farming crops. The important distinction is AI control and AI physical work. AI physical work would need robots as well. AI management doesnt need robots but people who take orders from AI.Robert Solow said in 1987 in USA, "computers are seen everywhere else but not in increasing the productivity"He was right in 1987. But was wrong a less than a decade later.People who say "AI is not increasing productivity" are right in 2026. But are they right in 2030?
