My personal experience tells me lawyers might be close to being replaced as well, at least for minor legal matters. I say this because I just successfully defended myself against my parents in court using only AI and no lawyer. They sought court ordered visitation of my kids and even hired their own lawyer to handle the case for them. I used Grok to generate a motion to dismiss based on lack of statutory standing and jurisdiction and it worked. And Grok is like the worst AI model out there right now, so if the worst is capable of essentially winning in court against a real human lawyer, just imagine what the best models can do.
