I am not speaking to all of you. You should know if I am speaking about you. You have become like that of the Pharisees; you have traded the words of Jesus for a tradition and religion. You have put your trust in the church or a denomination.Know this: tradition will not save you, nor will religion save you. Neither your church nor denomination will save you. Not one ritual will ever save you, but the transformed heart will save you.The Son did not come into the world to call you to perform rituals in His name. He came into the world to reveal what the Father is like, so that through grace, you may be formed into His likeness.He Himself said: "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"These are not people who rejected Him. These are people who claim that they did many great works in His name, yet they are told, "I never knew you." Why is this? Because their security was in what is external, not in what is internal.God does not know you merely by going to church or performing rituals in His name. To know God and to be known by God is through the spirit. This is not to say that you should not go to church, as Jesus said, "You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former."Many of you are neglecting the former, that is, the growth in the spirit. You have not given up the self and its desires as you were called to do. We have an obligation, to put to death the desires of the flesh through faith and perseverance.This is what grace is for, so that when you fall, you do not need to be paralyzed in failure, but pick up your mat and walk. Know that you are already forgiven, and that God loves you, even as I love you.Stop judging by appearances and instead turn to Him sincerely and be formed into His likeness.
