93 year old sitting Senator Chuck Grassley is putting in his bid for re-election in Iowa, if he wins he will be 101 years old by the time his term is over.
Picrelated is Diane Feinstein who was 90 years old and still a Senator in the state of California despite her daughter having power of attorney shortly before she passed away. Next to her is Harold the Ghoul from the 1997 video game Fallout.
Mitch McConnell another Senator is 84 years old and it has become a meme that the government is playing weekend at Bernie's with him.
The Past two Presidents of the United States Donald Trump and Joe Biden took office at 80 years old.
The mandatory retirement age for an Airline Pilot is 65 years old, as a risk due to the safety of others, while the average age of a US Senator is 64 and 58 for members of the house of congress.

For reference the average age of the Founding Fathers who signed the Declaration of Independence was 44, some being as young as 26. Some of other founders were also quite young. James Monroe was 18, Alexander Hamilton 21, and James Madison was 25.

Why do Americans vote for these old people?
