I'm friends with a guy who lives alone innawoods in a shack just making paintings all day, and people gladly go and pay $400-800 to buy one of this paintings because he has his own very unique style and made by a real artist. Sure, you could have some AI model scan in all of his paintings and start generating images that look like something he would paint. And you could even rig up some kind of plotter to physically print the images on canvas. But no one is pay $400 for some clone made by a machine. Unless one day he makes it big and is the next Picasso or whatever, in which case his original art would sell for infinitely more.
