I accidentally quit after a booze bender December 2024. I was horribly hungover for days, couldn't go out to grab a pack, not even a 2 minute drive. Figured I'd see how long I could go without a smoke, and I consciously decided to quit drinking, so the craving was almost 0. I did drink a few times, got a pack every time, but then didn't get back into smoking when sober. Had another nasty bender back on March, and haven't touched a drop since, despite my spouse trying to get me back off the wagon. I was a smoker for 20 years, never ever wanted to quit, never. Loved smoking. I did find it weird that quitting was so easy, especially since I was a pack a day for about the last 7 years.
