>>544010156He should have taken out every bridge, railway, and airport within the first 48 hours. Why has it taken him years to decide to do this?
Isn't that the guy who ran away from Kherson?
>>544010156his story arc is kinda funny>memed as a EPIC AGGRESSIVE WAR CRIMES GENERAL WHO WILL TURN THE WAR AROUND>given control of the SMO when it was in total shambles>recognizes the situation is utterly fucked and immediately halts offensive operations and begins digging in>gets soft purged and put into some shitty do nothing posting for NOT TAKING THE TERRITORY FAST ENOUGH>it turns out he was 100% right and his defensive line most likely saved Russia from a total catastrophe>3 years later they apparently figure out that he's one of the only effective senior leaders they had and put him on something important again
>>544010156>GENERAL ARMAGEDDON RETURNSSo two more weeks to set up red lines for Putin?
>>544010945>general ANALgeddonThe only red lines he crosses are the puckered anuses of fresh new recruits.
>>544010156Z
>>544010659>Why has it taken him years to decide to do this?It wasn't his decision. Putin was playing it soft for whatever reason and forced his generals to hold back on targeting certain things. I don't know why there was a recent shift, but it seems the gloves are finally off now.>>544010722>Isn't that the guy who ran away from Kherson?Someone had to. It was on the wrong side of the Dnieper so it was a logistical nightmare for the Russians. That city got taken early on and without a fight but it was premature to take it before the east of the river has been dealt with. Things have to happen in a certain sequence. But yes, pulling back looked bad. This general served as the "fall guy" for that so that Putin or Gerasimov or whomever didn't have to, but it wasn't his fault that city had been taken prematurely.
>>544010912>>it turns out he was 100% right and his defensive line most likely saved Russia from a total catastropheCorrect. Love the guy or hate him, you have to give him credit for his "Surovikin line" which withstood that much hyped Ukrainian counteroffensive back in 2023. After Ukraine recaptured a lot of territory back in late 2022 most people thought they were just going to retake all the rest of it soon, but Surovikin's defensive line shattered that idea. The war then continued on in a grinding war of attrition, which Russia is winning and inevitably will win because Russia has 5x the manpower Ukraine has and also more firepower as well. The only chance Ukraine ever had of winning was in that 2023 counteroffensive. After that failed, they should have peaced out then and there.
