I used to work in a care home for a little bit (not as a caretaker though) and the things I saw were terrible. Aging is awful. My grandpa died at like 70 from a heart attack after going for a swim in the river in the early morning and then rooting around in his garden. At the time I was sad of course, and thought he died at a relatively young age, but now in hindsight I realize how merciful such a death is. Being physically active and 100% self-sufficient and then dying within the span of 20 seconds is the best fate that can befall you after a certain age.
