>slow down AI
No.

Speed up AI
in fact,
start taking all the electricity for data centre use,
and ration or cut off electricity for non data centre use. Literally everything should go toward speeding up AI. Every chip.
Just shut down consumer chip manufacture,
everything all in on AI, at full speed. It needs to go faster. I can deal with going without electricity for a year. Especially knowing that AI is the next industrial evolution and is more important than stupid temporary comfort shit.

the industrial revolution made the average person go from owning a farm and tending to it to feed their family to working 80 hour weeks in a coal mine or factory floor and dying at 40, and it took literal hundreds of years for the masses to claw back some semblance of standards of living
you sure you want another?
