There is a reason the WW2 generation and even the leftovers of the WW1 generations called Baby Boomers the "Me" generation. They could already see their selfish attitude when Boomers were still young. Boomers are the only generation in history to be hated by the generations before them i.e. their parents plus the generations that came after them i.e. their children as well and it is a well deserved hatred. They are taking western civilization to the grave with them but see nothing wrong with it.
It is an impossible situation and only will get worse. Austerity is going to start right after midterms. You will hear all about social programs and Medicare cuts into the new year.
