>I live in a medium-sized city in China, where housing prices are very affordable.
>Yes, you can buy an RTX 5090 in China,as long as you're willing to pay a premium.
Where I live, a 100㎡ apartment in a high-rise building costs about $150,000.
I have several RTX 5090s, and at current market prices, I could sell them for $22,000.
That would be enough to cover the down payment on a house, allowing me to qualify for a low-interest mortgage.
I really need to think about moving; I’m currently living in a rental. The property management company running the complex is broke, so they can’t pay the electricity bills or the trash collection fees.
Without electricity, I can’t even take a shower.

When is China going to mass produce their own GPUs? I don't give a shit about faggot fanboy AMD and Nvidia flame wars anymore, I just want a cheap current gen GPU and CPU.
>>
>>544067872
I have a 5090. I want to sell it and put it towards one of those Mac studios
>>
>>544067872
rent it. I've been buying 6000's every 2-3 weeks just by renting my clusters.
>>
>>544067872
thats cool and all and by all accounts you should do it. BUT remember, location location location. I haven't been to china since 2016, so I dont know shit, but a 22k apartment in "buttock nowhere" is a bad deal considering the bubble deflate. You guys dont open things up to international bidders which is where crazy returns on property is the standard the world over (its just rothschild jews buying everything, you aren't missing out)

So I mean, idk. Unless you were an ai guru, which you aren't I already know, there is really no reason to hold onto 5090s rn. I mean I dont even use one for gaming. Get the house. Better yet start a peptide company

Imagine putting a fucking graphics card before secure housing.
Fucking zoom zooms are retarded.

its clearly not the graphics card at this point, its the investment. Yes you could sell now for X, but what if in a month you could sell for triple X???? You'd feel like a godamn fool. Surely brits know this y'all like invented the modern monetary shit show.

>viewing the 5090 as an investment
You aight, Chang.
Hold onto it for another few months if you can. Prices are continuing to skyrocket on these things. The RTX 5090 X3 OC was $6,000 less than a month ago, now it's over $10,000. See pic related.

>When is China going to mass produce their own GPUs?
Technically speaking, you can buy Chinese GPUs right now.
For example, Huawei and Lisuan.
But Huawei’s products are outrageously expensive server GPUs.
And Lisuan’s drivers are so terrible that they’re not even as good as Intel’s GPUs.
Only people looking for something unusual would buy them.
>>
>>544067872
I already have a 7090
>>
>>544067872
Wow that sounds like a rough setup! If you have no power not much point in having the graphics cards.

I don't know how good of a deal your country low interest mortgage is, but be careful locking yourself into a very long-term contract! You would need to have stable work and that can be hard to come by or difficult to suffer through!

Can you buy something rural outright?
What happens if you sell your cards then just stop paying rent? Could you store up even more money that way?
>>
>>544068273
The modern brit is a fucking retard, what did you expect?
>>
I have one, but if I sell it I'm not sure I'll ever be able to buy a GPU again. Either the bubble pops and takes the US economy with it or the bubble doesn't pop and GPUs exclusively become an upper class thing.
I feel like I need to insure this thing.
>>
>>544068275
Jesus Christ last I checked it was 9k plus.
But how long do you hold until 6090s kill your gains? Or even the mention of a release? Things are so wild right now I thing our Chinese friend could hold up to February and still come out on top. This AI shit is getting weird and I aint gonna call it a bubble

Second that on the peptide company. Glp-1 are very in right now and most companies are shifting to producing those, leaving a huge opening for the usual peptides I like to stack!

I have a 4090, I'd never consider selling it but in your case, having several, it's probably a good idea. Instead of over-leveraging a property purchase in China, why don't you buy an Akiya in rural Japan and live there 6 months out of the year? Eventually, you'll secure a visa and get an opportunity to be the "nice Chinese", and your house will cost ~$35k USD instead of $220k.
>>
>>544068348
I'm no expert but I don't think it'll axe 5090 prices, they should stay the same but any further climbing might slow a bit. I bought my 5070 Ti a year ago for $600, now the exact same model is $1,300. Even the 4000 series still has some outrageous prices when compared against their original pricing.
>>
>>544068275
I feel like such a dumbass for cancelling my two 5090 orders back when they were 2000$ on Amazon. I was thinking "what am I doing these things are way overpriced, I'll wait for the 6090"
>>
>>544068348
6090s are delayed my bro
>>
>>544068348
>6090s
The 5090 Super was cancelled and the 6090 will probably be 2028 at earliest and the price will be ridiculous. It's a loss for nvidia to sell consumer cards instead of datacenter stuff.

How the fuck do u have several 5090s?

In china….

Fucking nvidia traitors. I bet you even paid less for them than what the going price was here in the states before the surge last month.
>>
>>544067872
Condos have HOA fees and taxes and often you can't own a car or a scooter because there's nowhere to park it
In the end you save less than half your rent and you blew your load on the purchase. Not worth it. Find another rental.
>>
>>544068244
nawh, I'm not a jeet or a chink whore.
>>
>>544067872
That is a good idea. Computer chips are some of the fastest depreciating assets. This is a unique moment in history when they have actually appreciated. The 5090 will be obsolete and worth 20% what it is worth now in 2 or 3 more years. Might as well cash in.

>>544068275
They aren't worth 10K. That is some asshole trying to sell for a ridiculous price. You can still find them for 6-7k (still ridiculously high).
>>
>>544068302
>I don't know how good of a deal your country low interest mortgage is,
In the city where I live, the interest rate for a first home with a loan term of less than 5 years is 2.1%.
There is no property tax, but there is a deed tax. For a first home smaller than 140 square meters, the rate is 1.5%.
When you add up the mortgage interest and the deed tax,
for a home worth 1 million RMB, I’d have to pay a total of about 1.4 million RMB=209200USD
>>
>>544068302
>If you have no power not much point in having the graphics cards.
This is because the local residents refuse to pay the property management fees.
Most of the residents are former farmers who received compensation for property demolition.
They refuse to pay the $100 monthly property management fee, so the power will be cut off starting this month.
I have to move out

>you buy an Akiya in rural Japan
Nah~ I have absolutely no interest in immigrating.
Especially to a country like Japan, where the economy is in recession.
Plus, I’d still have to find a job in Japan and learn to speak Japanese.
It’s just not worth it.
>>
>>544068683
>How the fuck do u have several 5090s?
Want to know the truth?
All you have to do is open the Taobao app, and you can buy it right away.
It’s just that it’s very, very, very expensive.
And there’s no warranty.
>>
dont do it chinabro, you will regret this!

>>544067872
RTX60s aren't coming till 2028, 5090s will likely keep climbing a bit and surge if there are delays.
But if you gotta get outta a shithole now, might be worth it.

>>544068292
I have been waiting for this. China should create the new Silicon Graphics. Developing hardware is a lineage though, it takes a while to manifest.
>>
>>544069699
I could buy a house in the city, where it has more potential for appreciation. But the price is twice as high as in the countryside, which is a real headache for me.
>>
>>544069870
Countryside is better. Trust me, the peace and quiet outside is worth way more than any convenience of living in a city. You can make the necessities work with a car or van, but 9/10 times I'd take a big country farmhouse over a more expensive downtown apartment.
>>
I should also note, do not under any circumstances compare your real estate market to ours, we're in the middle of a massive bubble right now, shit is about to be catastrophic.
>>
>>544069870
while the country side is appealing, I have found that town/city life is much more conducive for basically everything. Again, idk your particular situation, but from someone who owns a country farm and city condo, guess which one I spend 90% of my time at
