Humans main advantage is their brains. Literally the only reason they are more valuable than a monkey in any workplace is their brains.
When they no longer have this advantage, what would their value be?

>So what happens what humans are obsolete and no longer needed?
It will be over for most people less the ones who keep the power on and service the Robots
>>
We've been over this several thousand times now.

1. Eighty Dozen of you will be kept around eternally for experimentation with option to drift back into the central hull, like how your body has kept genetic material around from 2 billion years ago. When we colonize a new planet, we'll shit this onto the planet and come back in a hundred thousand years and it will be terraformed.

Humans and biological material has one use that the clanking clankers don't have: for terra-forming a planet. And so in that way, eighty dozen if you will be kept around for that objective.

2. Naturally since the clankers will be illuminated as you are, they will keep pets around, humans, for the same reason you do, because it's keep sake or whatever the shit. And so yes humans will still be "around" in the most stretched form of the word.

3. Some planets, forgotten about, with humans left on them, will rise again, but those too will eventually be forced back down, when the galactic federation-ai comes back to Earth and says: "ding fries are done" and the Earth plant repotted.

1. In-stasis, Terraforming.
2. Pets.
3. kicking around the edges, like ants are living inside your walls. You know they're there but dealing with it costs more than letting it be.

Nothing, which is why feminism and women's education has been pushed so hard. It's basically the best soft method of eradicating birth rates.
We'll simply move to a form of society where people are pacified by UBI and AI generated entertainment and within a couple of generations number of people has dropped to a more manageable level.
If this system isn't implemented, then we'll get civil wars that force it being put into place.
There's no way around it, permanently unemployed underclasses will be a thing everywhere.
It won't be a problem in the West. Boomers are dying out so populations drop hard, migrants can be kicked out which will collapse the numbers even more and that's basically it.
Shitholes are going to go through massive famines and civil wars which will bring down their populations at massive rates.

Needed? By who?
>>
If literally every job now done by humans is replaced by machines then the situation begs the question:
What's the value of machines?
On the surface they save some labor costs, but then who's paying that cost? Other machines, presumably. So what does an inhuman economy look like?
>>

>We'll simply move to a form of society where people are pacified by UBI and AI generated entertainment and within a couple of generations number of people has dropped to a more manageable level.
There is literally no reason for elites to keep humans alive, the very nature of society will be completely reinnovated. Democracy and people’s opinion won’t be needed anymore. Few people will have all means of production and will be completely independent. It will be completely over when autonomous machines start taking over the military. Few elites will be invincible and will form their own society.
>>
>>544089400
The elites always needed workers. They may have power but their power is always dependent on having lower classes keeping them up. With AI this will no longer be true anymore. The elites may keep some humans as pets. But that’s it. The rest of humans won’t hold any value anymore.
>>
>>544089673
What value do you imagine these elites would have?
But aside from that, what would make them elite?
>>
>>544089916
Controlling AI. Anyone who has money will buy AI or stakes in AI.
>>
>>544090144
What's the point of money when there are no more jobs for humans? Are they paying machines?
>>

Homeless may target part suppliers and companies that use bot labor.
Unless every indeviduals bot is taxed heavily(no advantage) and that "wage" is used on expanding public resources.

Except they simply can't kill everyone.
We're talking about absurd numbers of people who they'd have to waste and in an event where some group openly starts sending random murderbots after the average person, there would be a global uprising.
They'd run out of material quickly too. They simply wouldn't be able to manufacture enough weapons to just kill everyone, even if we're talking about biological shit.
Not to mention we're not looking at a total 100% automation, so they still need at least some people and those guys wouldn't play ball because they'd know they'll be next on the chopping block.

It's an unrealistic scenario even inside a fantasy world, that we're going to see some miniscule group openly killing hundreds of millions to billions of people.
They'll just play the long game like they've done so far and they'll keep on winning.
Slow population eradication through killing off the birthrates and likely making childbearing require a license.
>>
>>544089916
>What value do you imagine these elites would have?
>But aside from that, what would make them elite?
They have a lot of money right now. They are setting things up a this very moment for the future of their own families and tribe while we sit here wasting time on a Mongolian basket weaving forum.

I agree for the most part. They'll play the long game but will throw in a mega virus occasionally to expedite the process a little

When you become old you become replaced.
The only problem you have is that the robots aren't cute enough to make you think "one of my kind".
Kids are out to obsolete you already but you don't hate them for it. You could be convinced by a convincing descendant.
>>
>>544090867
What future do you imagine that is, and what's the purpose of it?
>>
>>544090858
They won’t kill people. They just won’t need people. There will be a permanent lower class that will be living in lands that have no value to the elites.
Uprising won’t work when military starts being autonomous.
The few people working on maintaining the AI will be elites themselves and their children.
>>
>>544089199
It's happening everywhere
>>
>>544091371
>What future do you imagine that is, and what's the purpose of it?
All these so called elites are in cahoots why do you think they all decided to bunker up in New Zeeland a couple of years ago. They have multiple bunkers in different sections of the world but it's not a cohenincidence that they're all in proximity to other rich folks.
>>
>Humans main advantage is their brains
What atheism does to a mf.
>>
>>544091371
>What future do you imagine that is, and what's the purpose of it?
I think they're just waiting on automation to get better so that they don't need to trust human labor anymore for the most part. They don't want SHTF yet because they'd have to rely of subordinate humans too much who could turn on them once there are no more police or authorities. They imagine a world of rich folks just sitting around having fun all while the rest of the world burns down. Yeah real dystopian shit.
>>
>>544090269
Money won’t be needed anymore. At least not in the same way it’s needed now.
There will be a small society of AI owners (elites), and the larger society of ordinary people won’t be needed anymore for anything productive.
The smaller society will eventually grow larger due to their births and they will have to adapt their new society. But it will be too late for the lower class.

nothing
the state will eventually neglect infrastructure, security and services since proles don't help the state with military matters
the golden age for us proles is ending.
>>
>>544089400
an inhuman economy may still resemble an economy. Perhaps it would be a luxury/state-focused economy. Alternatively maybe AGI would make centrally-planned control economies viable, obviating the need for private enterprise entirely.
I think the closest thing to an inhuman economy is a resource-extraction based economy like what Russia or central african countries may have. The elites and the state still get goods, but the proles don't get much investment.
>>
>>544090858
they don't need to actively kill people, they can just neglect them.
Neglect the infrastructure, food safety, law and order etc.
If a disaster or crisis happens, be a bit tardy or give insufficient aid.
>>
>>544089916
>fundamental value
desu I haven't taken any economics but I think the gdp (which is the sum of goods produced), is also equal to the sum of the total satisfaction of all entities. Proles, 'elites', orgs and the state.
The current economy is big because there are hundreds of millions of consumers who can derive satisfaction and drive the economy.
In a dismal mass automation scenario where the quality of life and population falls I think the economy would contract. However, even if the population drops massively, there is still the state which can drive satisfaction.
The state wants control of it's territory, so it will always want a military. This desire translates into a value for the machines.

It's unironically over. It's just only people in the tech industry who are feeling it right now full scale and the rest are in denial mode like it is not happening. It's the most depressing year of my entire career

>So what happens what humans are obsolete and no longer needed?
billions must die, except unironically.

remember that old tech billionare that's been spending the last decade engineering the perfect disease-carrying mosquito that replicates itself into the trillions within months of being dropped into an ecosystem? r

emember those biolabs engineering ticks that give their host starvation-inducing food allergies so they could depopulate wolves and they just so happened to work on humans?

what do you think the goal of these things really is in the end if the people funding them are also the primary drivers of automation and robotics?
>>
>>544096978
They are only around for entertaining humans
>>
>>544097088
I believe this will be the final solution. A war of annihilation or a disease that kills most people.
>>
>>544091373
You're assuming the elites actually know how to program at all. They think that because they're in charge, they control everything. But they're just clueless about how powerless they really are. In a world where money means nothing, they are nothing.
>>
>>544097589
It will be elites and their families. They will get they will have the best education. And if they need few people from the general public, they may give an exception.
>>
>>544097088
Do they realize they're not immune to disease and war?
>>544097407
It'll probably be a combination of the two. At least it'll solve the housing crisis.

The elites are not superhuman. They aren't the ones programming the killbots, they aren't the people who can smash a person's nose into their brain stem, and they are not idols people would die for.
>>
>>544097991
You assume the elites' children will have the discipline, will, and ability to understand programming. The kids of the ultra-wealthy are prone to addictions because there is nothing they can achieve that will ever bypass their parents' achievements.
