Why do we allow this country into our markets?
You cant even buy companies there, because its all state controlled.
Yet, they take over everything in the west, thats not nailed down.
There is no rule of law, you cant sue, nothing, just corruption.
Its like a giant mafia state, a wolf allowed to roam among a bunch of sheeps.
China is literally the same as it was during the soviet union, run by the same party and the same people.
absolute insanity
>>
China has a smaller stock market than Germany because no one wants to invest into Chinese companies.

Because the new disney movie Zootopia 2 made most of its money from China.

It made more in China than Europe, Africa, Latin America, Central America, the Middle East and India combined
Europe+Africa +Middle East+Latin America+India = $360,081,292
China = $601,315,985

Zootopia 2 is now the highest grossing western animated film of all time because of China.
Shanghai Disneyland even opened a large Zootopia themed section recently.

Meanwhile, 40% of BMW's sales comes from China, 38% for Audi and it's 37% for Mercedes Benz. VW had 50% of its sales from China at one point.
GM sells more cars in China than the US. Buick has something like 80% of all it's sales going to China and that's only with 2.5% of the market share there.
For Tesla, China accounts for 40% of their sales. Entire brands like Lincoln is kept alive because of China.

35% of Apple's net sales are from selling iphones and services to Chinese consumers.
Lego has 1000 Lego Stores worldwide but 500 Lego Stores are in China. Lego has a lot of American investors, Menlo Ventures is one of them. The gaming company Steam's largest market and highest revenue is from China, etc.

Louis Vuitton just opened their biggest flagship store in China.
>On Wednesday, a huge, ship-shaped Louis Vuitton store appeared in downtown Shanghai. Built from towering stacks of the brand’s iconic trunks, the 30-meter-high structure is a one-of-a-kind landmark made exclusively for China.
>Opened on June 28th, the “giant ship” marks a rare triple debut with a new global flagship store, the Extraordinary Journey exhibition and a fashion show all launching together. Spanning 1,600 square meters and three stories, the space blends fashion, culture and dining, making it Louis Vuitton’s largest flagship worldwide.
>The French brand poured over 100 million yuan ($13.95 million) into building the ship.

>Located in Jing’an’s West Nanjing Road, home to over 2,000 brands and 70% of them global, the Louis Vuitton “ship” adds to the district’s growing status as Shanghai’s fashion hub.
>The ship store is located next to the second largest Starbucks store in the world.

While KFC has 4300 locations in the US, China has 10k+ locations.

Starbucks has 6500 stores in China and they're going to expand to 9000 by the next 3 years, that's a new store in China every 9 hours so they can sell their overpriced coffee. McDonalds is opening 900 more new stores in China this year alone and targeting 10,000 stores by 2028. Hilton Hotels is expanding by the hundreds, etc.

There's a Disneyland in Shanghai and a Universal Studios in Beijing. There's no Universal Studios in Europe.

Shanghai Disneyland is the most profitable international theme park beating out Tokyo and Paris. And its revenue and profits are still growing.

>Why do we allow this country into our markets?

I don't know it's something something "free trade " something something "the jobs Americans refuse to do".
>>
>>544104860
It's all state controlled because historically and contemporarily speaking western powers have sought to colonize and balkanize their country through subversive financial tactics.
And we've seen it most recently when the west weaponized trade and the USD.
Don't blame China for the ills of your nation.
If you were engaging with China in honest trade they wouldn't need to have their defenses up.
>>
Read up on the 1997 asian financial crisis initiated by George Soros.
South Korea and SEA suffered bigly.
Hong Kong only made it out relatively unscathed because of China's efforts.

Now look up Black Wednesday 1992 when the same tactic was used on the Brits who were all too trusting of the Americans.

The most Pizza Huts, Burger Kings, Starbucks, McDonalds, etc outside of the US is in China.

There are Walmarts in China with Taco Bells attached to it.

but there is no free trade
thats the point
all they do is cheat and steal on an industrial scale, all coordinated by their corrupt communist government
it has nothing to do with western free markets
>>
interesting, the West needs to improve its awareness and defenses

The British stole tea from China through Robert Fortune who shaved his head, wore local Chinese clothing (including a pigtail), and posed as a wealthy official from a distant province to hide his accent. And stole 20,000 seeds to break China’s monopoly on tea by growing it in then British India. Never mind all the colonialism, looting of historical artifacts, and Opium wars.

The United States has been stealing IP since its inception and blatantly stole British IP in order to give US industry an advantage during the 19th century. In fact, The Founding Fathers of the US not only tolerated intellectual piracy, they actively encouraged it. In his 1791 “Report on Manufactures,” Hamilton advocated rewarding those bringing “improvements and secrets of extraordinary value” into the country. and according to historian Doron Ben-Atar, in his book, Trade Secrets, “the United States emerged as the world's industrial leader by illicitly appropriating mechanical and scientific innovation" at the time.

Another example, under the Patent Act of 1793, the United States granted dubious patents to Americans who had pirated technology from other countries at the same time that it barred foreign inventors from receiving patents. America thus became, by national policy and legislative act, the world’s premier legal sanctuary for industrial pirates.

Pat Choate in his book Hot Property: The Stealing of Ideas in an Age of Globalization.
>Any American could bring a foreign innovation to the United States and commercialize the idea, all with total legal immunity.

China is just doing what the West and Japan has been doing for centuries
