why did boomers hate Jimmy Carter so much was he really that bad
>>
He was in the way of the globohomo takeover of America by Reagan and his puppeteer George HW Bush, king CIA spook and son of Prescott Bush, the treasonous shitheel who masterminded the Business Plot
So he had to go and his legacy had to be slimed in order to make the transition seamless

It's like asking a fattie to eat a plate of vegetables and steamed meat.
>>
>>544111501
carter actually fell into the same trap as trump and got america absolutely raped and humiliated on stage by iran, they released the hostages the day he left office
the boomers hated iran ever since the hostage crisis and that's why king boomer trump really went in, sure israel pushed him in but every american boomer wants revenge for the hostages
>>
He did a speech called the Malaise speech where he basically said that boomers were a bunch of self absorbed materialistic retards.
>>
>>544111902
Shut up jeet
>>
>>544112164
Fuck off migger
>>
>only modern president that did not start a war
He was the best president that the USA has had in decades and his crisis of confidence speech was on point. He was very clearly a man of integrity, which is the reason, why his presidency failed. You tell me, who the prince of this world is.
>>
>>544112673
This!
>>
he inherited the economic recession created by nixon and israel and was thrust into a hostage negotiation noone but police are trained for. He did nothing wrong, but he didnt fix things until reagan was in offic to take credit for them
>>
The CIA sabotaged his presidency to make way for neoliberalism. Only people who still believe in neoliberalism think he was bad.
>>
Everyone else in this thread is a faggot and a retard. Pic related is the answer and why Trump is going to lose the midterms and Dems will also take the White House in 2028.

Electoral politics is actually really easy to understand. In any Western state, about a third of people identify somehow with the left, a third with the right, and the last third are generally indifferent. That last category is actually who decides elections, because the left always vote left, and the right always vote right. Nothing else matters to them but the ideology they learned from Facebook or this shithole or whatever other fucking monkey retard YouTuber who taught them what moronic bullshit to think.

That last nonaligned third vote in very predictable patterns. When times are good, they mostly don't vote, but if they do, they reward incumbents. When times are bad, they are much more likely to vote, and they punish incumbents, irrespective of facts or ideological alignments or anything else. The deposition of Russ Feingold is a good example of this. He was the only person in the US Senate to vote against the CFMTA, and when it caused the subprime crisis, he was promptly voted out of office.

However, especially in the US, when the opposition party takes power, they misinterpet the signal they're getting, which is not "for you" but "against the other guy", and then they carry on as normal, either mandating men in girls' sports, or sending billions to Israel instead of fixing the mess left by the last shitheel. This is why you get people who voted BushObamaTrumpBidenTrump.

And it's always the basic stuff: gas prices, cost of kids' tuition, social security, etc. The basics of a livable society. When the opposition-cum-ruling party starts grasping that instead of thinking that people are actually voting for or against Israel or chicks with dicks, they may start surviving beyond a single election cycle.

Reagan colluded with Iran to delay the hostage release until after the election, that's how Reagan won the election. The 1980 election was super close unti the debate in the last week. Carter's White House personnel leaked Carter's debate prep material to Reagan because they were mad about how he was handling Iran (Debategate). If Carter had just bombed Iran just as his wife suggested, he would've won reelection as wartime president.
>>
>>544111818
This and he had the audacity to tell boomers to stop consooming so much.
>>
>>544113447

No, Carter's own party hated him, Ted Kennedy primary challenged him for vetoing his national healthcare plan. Carter would've been recalled by his own party under a paraliamentary system.
>>
>>544111501
I'm a boomer and was alive and American when Jimmy Carter was president, unlike most of you.
The reason he wasn't liked was because he was a SPINELESS FUCKING FAGGOT JUST LIKE YOU.

It's been too long for me to recall it properly but a book is out there by a Gary Swick? Sick? That started the theory that Reagan had a back channel with Iran and negotiated the hostages to be released an hour after Reagan was sworn in. I think Reagan cheated during the debates too.

>pledditspacing 'everything in lyfe duh economy is about pepsi v. coke electoral politics'
Ok retard brainlet Dumb Fuck moron.

>muh livable society
For forty years, the United States has been unlivable but now it's reached a degree and magnitude where electoral politics (for decade after decade) hasn't 'fixed' a single thing and the direction is for nothing but worse no matter who are the 535 Congressmembers or in the WH.
Something is going to break in the global financial system, and has been delayed for about four years running (in 2026). Until then the plate-spinning continues by the establishment leadership and U.S. Congress—that holds the purse strings on fedgov spending, not the president—as it's done for 30 years in lockstep unison continues to spend money that does not even exist let alone it 'has' into oblivion.
Electoral politics is far less relevant in 21st century to how the world (and America) functions and operates with each passing month. Simply doesn't matter, has zero effect.
>>
>>544120041
Significantly cutting back our social services (let’s be honest it mostly goes towards illegals) would fix this overnight. Democracy is flawed because the masses will always vote for them to get free shit
>>
>>544111501
He deregulated the airlines and interstate and it was fuckin based
>>
>>544111501
Carter was basically the right man for the wrong time.
The nation needed a more hard-headed sort who cared more about solid economics and reorganizing how fiscal policy works.
>>
>>544111501
A lot of it was out of his hands. Nixon and Ford created the stagflation with the typical reckless fiscal policy of Republicans and their support of Israel that caused a global energy crisis.

Carter's arms limitation treaties that decreased tensions and the budgetary pressure of the red queens race for nuclear war doctrines built on counterforce targeting were broadly a good thing.

Boomer's just seethe that that there was a few months of gas rationing and high interest rates to crush inflation (which continued into Reagan's first term under Volcker).

When in doubt, assume boomers are lying and shitting their pants over economic setbacks that are objectively mild in comparison to the Great Recession and post-Covid global inflation wave.
>>
>>544120346
>it mostly goes towards illegals
Wrong. It mostly goes to old people with locks for inflation.

he inherited economical crisis from nixon and the recovery was too slow, so Reagan took the credit for it in the end. Basically the same situation with Biden inheriting crisis from Dotard. Or another Democratic president inheriting another crisis from Dotard's second term

And it's generally believed that Reagan had backdoor channels with Tehran to delay the hostage release to make Carter look bad and get him elected. The Iran-Contra Affair supports this.
>>
>>544116295
Reagan rebuilt American iconography. Stopped playing not to lose and we knocked the commies out of the race.

Carter did fuck all to help the average American so no one remembers his presidency.
>>
>>544120905
Or Obama inheriting the Great Recession from Bush.

>>544120780
The soviets economy had no means to keep up with us. They were bankrupting themselves. Reagan bumped up the spending and they called us 4 years later saying it's over you win.
>>
>>544120508
Genuinely the strongest argument supporting Carter taking in the Shah of Iran into US territory, the move which incited the Iran Hostage Crisis and embittered US-iran relations to this very day, is because David Rockefeller thought that he could make a cool 500 million dollars if our relations soured enough that Iran's Chasebank accounts were frozen. Literally no other individual in the entire government had any motive or logic for it, even including Zionists at the time because israel was reeling from another war with Jordan and absolutely did not want an angry Iran at their backs.

Yes, the Reaganite mind virus of cutting taxes and putting the difference on the national credit card is a large contributor to why the US has the fiscal problems it does now.

Gorby was going to bankrupt the USSR by the early-mid 90s anyway. Let's say the Soviets spend 5% less of their GDP on the Red Army. They're still fucked. Maybe 94 instead of 91; but who cares.

Reagan wrecked the US forever and ended its golden age to enrich our corporate masters. A truly evil and even demented piece of demonic garbage that deserved a more painful death than dementia.
At least his death was poetic because one of his first acts was dismantling Carter's mental healthcare reform.

That's not true at all. Basically the entire ~$20T pre-covid debt can be attributed to Great Society spending

Gas doubled in price overnight. mortgage rates skyrocketed. And he didnt step in and stop those faggot Iranians.
