Look at the clothes, the behavior, where they're meeting and whether it's the same people over the years or if there unexplained, sudden changes in membership. In my town they're almost all children of wealthy families, a decent chunk of which don't even try to hide it. I'm not saying this is true everywhere in America, but I've never seen an example of it NOT being true.
