>took 400mg of this once>sent me into the deepest sleep of my entire fucking lifeI kneel. About to go to bed and took another dose. I think most supplement stuff is slop but magnesium glycinate actually worked for me.
Supplements only work when you're short on something. Melatonin knocks me out well, doesn't do shit for the wife (she needs actual meds from the doc that hits the gaba alpha receptors).
>>544125062Why is everyone so obsessed with magnesium. What stupid shit will they sell you tomorrow?
>>544125202That’s not really true, amino acids and some of the stuff they sell as supplements can have direct therapeutic effects. MSG is the sodium salt of an amino acid and almost everyone gets a buzz of some kind off it
>>544125062Magnesium deficiency is rampant in people that don't eat a lot of veggies or organ/skeletal meat. Welcome to the club. Your bones and other skeletal organs will get much stronger too. Depression decreases, everything improves. Magnesium and zinc are god-tier.
>>544125062Yeah I take this too.It definitely helps me sleep deeper. I actually have dreams now. Long and complicated dreams.Much better than waking up screaming and covered in sweat like most of my life
>>544125256Magnesium modulates calcium channel signalling in the body. Keeps things efficient and clean. Less interference, better energy usage.
>>544125062zma works for most anyone. there's a problem with the way nutrition in food is reported. the FDA does not require individual product testing. when you look at a nutrition label, you are depending on the FDA to test a product and even then there are different classes of nutrients which are held to different standards. in this sense, EU has USA outclassed. THAT BEING SAID, zma and a 2-5mg of melatonin usually works for me but make sure you drink enough water.
>>544125202She’s probably taking too much melatonin. It actually causes adverse effects when you take too much. I remember multiple people saying they have “insomnia” and say that they take 10mg of melatonin before bed. That’s the problem right there. I take about 3mg and knock tf out in 30 minutes.
>>544125062Silence, fry-faced burgershart muttgoblin
>>544125526She's not taking any. It didn't work so she just doesn't touch it. I get what you're saying though, plenty of people abuse supplements.I've never seen anybody have a problem with melatonin though. Your gut generates 400x the amount of the 3rd eye. It's kind of ubiquitous through the body, but I guess if you're low on peroxide it could mess with the immune system. That's just a guess though.
>>544125293>amino acidsEaa was kind of cool to run into a couple of years ago. At some point I subconsciously stopped adding it to my water. I caught up. Meh.
