Building nukes really isn't that hard, the delivery system is the limiting factor. Iran can mass produce shitty drones and short-range rockets, but they're nowhere near an ICBM capable of delivering large payloads across continents. Let alone a stealth ICBM that could defeat our many layers of antiair defenses. Their only hope would be smuggling it in a cargo container, but hiding hard radiation in a small space is hard, ports are full of detectors for that exact scenario.
