About Hitler by a Hitler apologist, David Irving
It actually convinced me that Hitler was retarded along with all of the Nazi elite and Nazi Germany in general

>thousands of books about Hitler
>subhuman reads the one by the retarded glownigger
Wow
>>
>>544137179
it's undeniable they made a series of terrible decisions
but is Irving a 'Hitler apologist', or is he simply a historian who tries to use historical sources to question the mainstream narrative of the holocaust?
>>
>>544137255
>memeflag
>>
>>544137179
What are the top 2 reasons why you think they were retarded?
>>
>>544137179
Yes fighting the a war on two fronts was retarded. He should've conquered Britain and then developed nukes.
>>
>>544137179
yeah they probably were... retarded ^_^;
>>
>>544137288
well he did claim to be a milquetoast fascist or light fascist or whatever in the 1960s iirc
in the 1980s he got fully into Holocaust denial, mingled with the Institute for Historical Review, promoted the Leuchter report etc. (which is what he got slapped with that lawsuit for in the end I think)
so I do trust him on having a sympathy for Hitler
that does NOT imply anything about the quality of his work.
I read the book, first published in 1977, and found the quality and breadth of the work put in outstanding.
I would say he's a historian (or was, then) with a greater passion for the real historian/archivist work than many if not most other "real" historians
Tho technically of course he's not a historian as he's not "educated" as a historian (which is the minimum standard for being a "historian" here in my country)
>>
>>544137544
Nah, he should have teamed up with us to fuck the soviets. Like they wanted to do later with operation unthinkable.
>>
>>544137288
>is he simply a historian who tries to use historical sources to question the mainstream narrative of the holocaust?
As someone who has read several of his books I can say he doesn't really do that in his books. It's important to know that there are two David Irvings: 1. David Irving the author who sticks close to what the documentary evidence supports vs 2. David Irving the speaker who regularly shot his mouth off.

Once you know the difference between an Irving speech and an Irving book you'll be smarter than 99% of /pol/

>What are the top 2 reasons why you think they were retarded?
the number 1 reason is they constantly overestimated their strength and underestimated enemy strength. all their plans since the Stalingrad debacle relied on hopes & dreams only

the number 2 reason is the entire system built around the Fuhrerprinzip and how inefficient it was (which must be ironic for germans) as pertained to the decision-making process from strategic to tactical. the atmosphere at the top (from Hitler's conference rooms to the General Staff and the general staffs of the Luftwaffe, Wehrmacht, Kriegsmarine etc.) was chaotic and often officers went against Hitler's good advice because they were caught in the heat of the moment and felt they had to push (against Hitler's directives) because the battlefield demanded such action. and often, Hitler went against the good advice of his officers

in fact contrary to the common myth of the Blitzkrieg, Nazi Germany was pretty much unable to carry out Combined Arms Operations on the regular.
even the USSR was better at Combined Arms Operations (what they called deep battle) than Nazi Germany
whenever Nazi Germany achieved an efficient and effective cooperation and communication between the Luftwaffe and the Wehrmacht (not to mention the Kriegsmarine), that was only because of luck more or less, that is the officers at the top of each branch being in agreement with each other for 1 specific operation, or just not being in DISAGREEMENT with each other.
but more often than not, they were at disagreement with each other and pushed for different things & therefore there really was no built-in coordination between the different branches of their military. they competed more than cooperated with each other

meanwhile even in the USSR all the branches were fully subservient to the decision-making center and did not screw each other over... because they weren't really independent branches to begin with
not to mention- Anglo level of Combined Arms
>>
>>544137970
So why did the Germans have the best K:D ratio of all the combatants?
>>
>>544137970
>more often than not, they were at disagreement with each other and pushed for different things
Do you recall some specific examples of this?
>>544137970
>all their plans since the Stalingrad debacle relied on hopes & dreams only
So what would be the correct course of action after they were on the back foot? Was it not pretty much over already by that point? Or are you saying they could have played it way better and stopped the Russians?
>>
>>544138163
the Soviets were really bad at fighting or, more likely, just didn't care about the losses. you tell me if it was stupidity or evil indifference on their part
notwithstanding, they carried out combined arms operations constantly and without nearly as much friction as there was in Nazi Germany.
just FYI, my conclusions aren't 1:1 what's written in the book. it's what I inferred from the book
in the book you can read the Germans being amazed, starting from mid-1943, at how "organically" the Soviets develop their offensives. first, infantry platoons prodded along the frontline in search of a weakspot and then gradually pushed more and more resources into that weakspot, along with the brutal Soviet artillery barrages preparing the field & the Soviet air force hitting from air as the Soviet armies rolled into the breakouts. the Germans would be caught off-guard by a small incursion quickly developing into a great offensive.
i guess the Germans could not understand the degree of improvisation involved as their command structure was even more ossified than the Soviet command structure & relied more on grand strategic plans made beforehand
>>
>>544137970
>all their plans since the Stalingrad debacle relied on hopes & dreams only
Fuck you mean since Stalingrad? Since the Fall of France, reading about the Battle of Britain and Operation Barbarossa shows just how delusional most of the OKH and OKW command were, the few voices of reason were just ignored
>>
>>544138427
>Do you recall some specific examples of this?
the best examples are from Operation Barbarossa and the disagreement between Hitler & Franz Halder (and his coworkers) whether to push toward Moscow immediately or turn south to Kovel and onto Kyiv with a focus on the southeast (the Caucasus oil fields that were on Hitler's mind already during Operation Barbarossa)
which is what Hitler eventually fired Halder for, establishing full personal control over the Wehrmacht in Dec 1941
>So what would be the correct course of action after they were on the back foot? Was it not pretty much over already by that point? Or are you saying they could have played it way better and stopped the Russians?
Fall Blau itself was an example of poor German strategy
they should've gone all-in on Stalingrad establishing control over the Volga there, cutting off the oilfields and the troops there immediately and only then turned south to the oilfields at Maykop and Astrakhan (which were already destroyed by the Soviets by that point anyway, which Hitler didn't know... which his entire plan hinged on)
instead what Hitler did was he ordered the armies to split after taking Rostov because he thought the Soviets were retreating so hard that the German army must've been giving them hell anyway and the Soviets must've been so weak in his mind that he thought he could afford it.
what actually happened is the Soviets were retreating without engaging in combat (and later used these forces against Paulus at Stalingrad)
so Hitler split the invading army into Army Group A & Army Group B and sent one half of it (Army Group A) south to Maykop and then that army wasted months traversing across and along the Caucasus Mountains, so when the Soviets counterattacked Army Group B was left stranded and the Germans couldn't move Army Group A north to help out Army Group B in time

as for what they should've done after Stalingrad... i'll write that in my next post
>>
>>544138163
The Soviets were caught in the middle of military reorganization after the purges and Britain ended up with like 20 times better K/D ratio than Germans kek.
>>
>>544138163
Because their troops were always more combat experienced and trained than their adversary at almost any given moment, the Soviets and Americans had to learn to fight veteran Germans while they had next to zero experience or training

What is your favourite color.

But for real: Did you read the post-war-published cables and intelligence reports on Hitler? Absolutely dysfunctional autism.
Still an excellent speaker mind you.

>What is your favourite color.
Green
>>
>>544139144
Fitting, since your ID is green.
>>
>>544139102
i dont think he had autism
have you heard Hitler's conversation with Mannerheim? or rather Hitler's monologue heh
he was certainly narcissistic, maybe you could even ascribe ADHD to him or what have you. I don't think it's that relevant at the end of the day.
i know this will sound trite and even jewed since I'm here on /pol/ saying this but I unironically agree with how Hitler is described in the lede of his Wikipedia article, the Ian Kershaw quote: "the embodiment of modern political evil"
my point is, if you ascribe the wildest mental illnesses to him you might as well ascribe them to many other modern politicians like Trump and Putin. so it's irrelevant. he was just a politician, an evil one, in fact an irrational fanatic that led his nation to permanent destruction because he valued his people less than himself and the ideology he built... around himself
he preferred to sacrifice his people at the altar of his own ideology than act for the good of his people even if it meant "betraying" himself or stepping down
to circle back to his conversation with Mannerheim, just listen to it and try telling me it's an autistic man speaking... nah. it's someone with a completely normal speaking pattern, with a good handle of emotion and inference of emotion... something autists are genetically unable to do

you should read The War that has many fathers.
>>
>>544137179
The Nazi party were a bunch of mongs and social rejects hence why their time in power resulted in one of the worst losses of life in European history.
>>
>>544139429
Autism is not genetic, and rather very varied.
I'm a verbally gifted one myself and have experience with many others, so it's not just the intelligence reports and cables i'm going by, it's plain old recognition; the mental faults he makes, the desire for simplicity, the trouble with the mundane while simultaneously also seeing and perhaps idolising its value.
>>
>>544139429
Oh and as an aside: The illness thing is like the monster thing.
Just a way for oversocialised people to pretend they could never become or be like Hitler if they just adhere to their simple central tenets.

They make him ill, beastly, demonic, whatever just so that he could never be them or viceversa.
When reality is that he was just a man that strayed too derply into his own insanity, indulged in himself and his nonsense too much

Kill yourself while Ukraine and Russia continue to ass fuck you, Sunjay.

Barbarossa is the most retarded military campaign in all of human history and it failed spectacularly exactly as you'd expect. It's a complete failure on the intelligence side they had no idea how many men, military vehicles, production capability the enemy even had.
The few people who spoke against it were silenced.
>>
>>544137179
>David Irving
Irving was MI6 bullshit artist Containment Operation. They had to come out and admit it even in the MSM because he was getting too much personal attack for schizophrenic Jews who weren't in on the game.

''The Slav is never able to build anything himself. In the long run, he's not capable of it. With the exception of a few phenomena produced by Asia every couple of centuries, through that mixture of two heredities which may be fortunate for Asia but is unfortunate for us Europeans — with the exception, therefore, of an Attilla, a Ghenghis Khan, a Tamerlaine, a Lenin, a Stalin — the mixed race of the Slavs is a subhuman with a few drops of blood of our blood, blood of a leading race; the Slav is unable to control himself and create order.''

''What happens to a Russian, Pole and Czech does not interest me in the least. Whether other nations starve to death interests me only in so far as we need them as slaves for our culture''

Himmler's speech to SS officers (4 October 1943)

Just by reading some of their views about non-Jews, one actually forgets for a second about Jews and realizes that this people were extremely demonic too and on a long run in case of victory even worst than Jews, and that's extremely hard. Truly disgusting.
>>
''It is a war of ideologies and a struggle of races. On one side stands National Socialism: ideology, founded on the values of our Aryan blood. On the other side stands the 180 million people, a mixture of races and peoples, whose names are unpronounceable, and whose physical nature is such that you can only do one thing- is to shoot this animals without pity or mercy.''

''When you, my friends, are fighting in the East, you keep that same fight against the same subhumans, against the same inferior races that once appeared under the name of Huns, and later - 1,000 years ago during the time of King Henry and Otto I, - the name of the Hungarians, and later under the name of Tatars, and then they came again under the name of Genghis Khan and the Mongols. Today they are united under the political banner of Bolshevism.''

Heinrich Himmler speaking in Stettin to soldiers of the SS (13 July 1941)

Yea, I am pretty sure that he is talking about destruction of other Europeans and not just the Jews. There were no 180 million Jews in Europe in 1940s.
