Did they think this would NEVER happen?
Here's a bright idea, maybe don't live right next to the water? This goes for rivers too btw. Just because it's fine now doesn't mean it won't ever flood and sweep you and your house away.
>>544178905Maybe just start building stone/concrete houses in these natural disaster areas?
>>544178990Not good for the shareholders, goy.
>Want to live....RIIIGHHHTT next to the ocean.>Mad when Ocean knocks for a cup of sugarI can't even
It happened in 1939. In the Gulf South, hurricanes are categorized by how often they can readable be expected. For instance Hurricane Katrina had a storm surge that’s considered a 400-year event, while the damage seen in New Orleans East (the hardest hit part of the city) is considered a 250-year event.
>>544178829they should levy YUGE fines on all those owners for pollution.take ALL the insurance money and then some.
>>544178829>Did they think this would NEVER happen?Of course they didn't
>>544179100>how often they can readable be expected>readableJust so we're clear, you did mean "reasonably", yes?
>>544178829It hadnt for like 20 years. They were duped by insurance companies too. Its always been a possibility just never a reality
Did they make pic related illegal in California like they legislate everything else to be?
They built houses on a Peninsula sandbar. These storm surges happen every 10 years and these idiots were gullible enough to buy them. San Diego has the same issue and the realtors advertise them as the most beautiful locations. Buyers beware, as they should do their own due diligence.
>>544178905>>544178990yeah maybe nobody should live anywhere near the ocean or any river and maybe we should all live in concrete boxes maybe even put them underground to be safer
>>544179450Do you think the Government subsidized homeowners insurance paid out the claim for that house?Because they shouldn't
>>544178829>lives in ca>haven't heard a thing about this
HAHHA Fuck you Commies! Now we control the weather devices.
>>544178829This shit happens every year. A fire, a mudslide, some flooding, wind damage, earthquake.I don't care. And I say this as a proud florida man who rides out every hurricane.
>>544178829Ban and tax assault waves.

oh nomy multimillion dollar beach househow will i recover polsissies
>>544179482This. It is quite literally a real estate scam. All of these property owners will get 15% of their promised house insurance payout, probably only slightly more than they ever paid in, they will be unable to afford repairs as anything more complex than a handyman suddenly has tripled their prices in the past 72 hours, and at least a few of the property owners will be forced to sell - also at a reduced price - in order to cover their own costs. Over the next year, the same developers who built the old collapsed house of sticks, will build a brand new house of sticks right against the waterfront, and sell it for another cool ten million dollars to another retarded xoomer.
>>544179555what claim ? the house on stilts is fine and when the tide goes down they'll just put the ladder/stairs back up.wasting digits oh my goodness
>>544180083>Act of God clause stands in their way“Sorry, goyim. No insurance payout for you.”
