>>544181793In the USA we have bots that call random numbers, expecting you to say your name. When you do, they hang up and use your name and tone of voice to call your family and beg them for money.Happened to my brother, he answered a call like that and gave his name, and it hung up. A week later grandad got scammed by a bot call claiming to be my brother calling, begging and crying for money from a jail in another state. Point being is that anyone with sense nowadays usually just picks up and listens for the caller to introduce themselves. Surely they know who they're calling and have something to say? I don't need to introduce myself, you called me.

>>544182117I don't know if it's still exactly the same (although I bet it's similar) but when I was a broke teenager, I worked a call center cold calling people to try and convince them to get chimney cleanings and the system they used would call you and then if it heard a human voice, it would connect an operator. Anyone who just picked up and said nothing would hear nothing in return and then the system would hang up.That job was soul crushing and I didn't make three weeks.

I am like John Wick. I never say anything. And when people ask the caller what I said, he or she say "He said enough...." Then they start talking about how I created the basic building blocks of what they are today and that I am the one they send to kill the boogeyman. Meanwhile I am having a frozen pizza and a coke.
I don't answer unknown calls
>>544181839Color blindness confirmed.
i find it weird that the person that picks it up has to talk first. like, you are calling me. why do i have to talk to you first? just say what you want niggaam i autistic or has society wasted a collective billions of hours on useless greetings instead of getting things done?

i say what? i don't have time to be talking on the phone, if you've rung for a casual chat you can get the fuck out here and give me a hand, we'll talk while working. otherwise, make it quick.
