>be me, work at multicorp #749>SAP external support team names are all German>everything gets done fast and well>issues are rare and get solved effrctievly>3 years pass>SAP external supporr names change to jeets>even the most basic things take weeks>nothing on first try>issues are common and usually lead to more issues>multicorp #749 loses a lot of money because of this >but noone cares since its not a tracked cost unlike external consultant feesI these retarded monkeys and I hate globohomo. Oh, and pajeet hate thread, I guess.
>>544202702SAP and relying on indians to implement and maintain has been a disaster for the corporate world. Product references not being loaded properly, fucked up logistics due to jeet quick fixes to "make it work." For something designed to be streamlined and automated, jeetbloat has a way to turn it into a disaster.

>Large Irish company decides to outsource the internal IT support to a consultancy>offers to cut costs and reduce time to resolve tickets>their idea to that was to outsource to Indians>they actually bring them onshore as well>the Indians are unable to resolve even basic issues>since the original metric for "success" of the project is number of resolutions and time to resolution>the jeets just start writing comments on tickets to say they resolved them and they close the ticket>when it's obvious they didn't fix anything, in some cases didn't even do anything to try to fix it>consultancy firm is hailing it as a big win, that more support tickets is actually good because things have sped up, time to resolution is down and because of that they can handle MORE tickets with less people>high level people at the bank eventually have issues like their laptop won't connect to wifi>they go through the circus that is the new IT support, seeing their issue is just casually closed with "resolved, restart your computer and try again"In the end, nothing really came of it because the actual competent internal IT people just fucked off. I don't work there anymore but when I started there in the older system, it took 1 week to get "set up", i.e. you have a PC that you can do work on (all software/permissions resolved). When I was leaving it took you 3 weeks to even get a computer, and then again this obstacle course of jeets saying: "that permission is added" and marking the ticket as closed, and you find it's not added. In the end various backchannels emerged where people phoned someone to say something wasn't done properly and to quietly just add it. So now there wasn't even any proper audit trail or useful metrics.

>>544202974My spelling in OP was shit because I was fuming with rage. We got a line stoppage because we couldn't order in time a piece of tooling we need for what we wanted to produce . Guess what prevented doing the ordering.

>>544202702Dell computer had to quietly lose the jeets, back in 2016 and switch to US support, because their support-ratings were so bad, but I think they've switched back, since then. You contact VMware, Dell, or HP with a server issue and you'll initially get jeet support. It's only when the shit goes down, that you'll be connected to a real American employee.
>>544205599If you are persistent enough and threatening enough then you’ll get their supervisor who is probably a white guy. Yes, jeet wrangler is a real role. This guy’s entire role in the company exists to fix jeet fuckups and customer frustration. His job only exists because of a systemic issue that the company can’t or won’t fix. He’s a professional duct taper. The reason that nobody does anything about it is because there’s really no negative effect in the short-term, which is what most investors care about.
