NASA says the Moon would shine brigther than the Sun if your eyes could see gamma rays.
>>
They also said we landed people on the moon
>>
>>544247654
Well this contradicts their claim for that, and also nullifies every and all aspirations to ever go to the moon.
>>
>>544247698
I don't think so. Why do you think that?
>>
>>544248001
Because we have no means to shield from cosmic rays and gamma rays.
We would need to develop ships with strong magnetic fields and thick lead walls, or maybe immerse the ship in a bubble of water.
>>
>>544248113
But radiation isn't all-or-nothing deal. A lot of stuff here on Earth emits gamma rays but we're still alive.
>>
>>544248215
These rays are energetic enough to be seen from the Earth. Imagine if you're right next to it.
>>
>>544248283
Ackshully the Fermi Gamma-ray SPACE telescope isn't on Earth, it's in space.
But nevermind that, my point is we are close to gamma ray sources right now, they're everywhere, we call it background radiation.
>>
>>544248367
It's in low earth orbit wich is basically right next to Earth. That's well within Earth's atmosphere and the magnetic field.
Background radiation is completely irrelevant from cosmic rays interacting with matter and producing gamma rays, completely unshielded. You're comparing a soft breeze to a hurricane.
>>
>>544248512
It's not irrelevant because it shows that exposure to gamma radiation isn't necessarily fatal. You don't die when you eat a banana.
So if you understand that it's about dosage, then why do you not accept that a limited dose on the Moon is survivable, like it is on Earth?
>>
>>544248678
An object that glows brigther than the sun, in terms of gamma ray radiation, does not produce neglible dosage. The intensity of those rays is extreme. Whatever data Apollo astronauts have provided is deceptive, just like the entire landings were.
>>
>>544248814
It's pretty silly to depend on NASA for information on the one hand and dismiss them as liars when it suits you.
But more importantly, you're not actually analyzing dosages and their effects, you're just going on your own faulty intuition from headlines.
>>
>>544248870
Looks like this is soft-disclusure by NASA.
>>
>>544248904
How unbelievably convenient for you.
I guess this is it for me, so if you were just trolling, then well-played.

It's time to re-evaluate your worldview.
Some more soft-disclosure.

Is this American education? Sun SHOULD glow less in gamma rays because it's surface is just hot hydrogen. Moon on the other hand has solid rock that contains uranium and thorium and interacts with cosmic rays.

>>544249334
The intensity of the gamma rays coming from the Sun is even higher, that's why they reach us, or the FERMI telescope. Cosmic rays interact with any matter they collide with. Including humans jumping around in space suits.
>>
>>544248283
TV and radio broadcasts from Earth are powerful enough to be seen10 ly away. Imagine if you were on the same planet! Scary stuff!
But seriously, the gamma rays from the sun (except for during flares) are from the same cause as the moon: cosmic ray interactions. And the sun is further away. You're assuming that because the sun is "bright" in other wavelengths, gamma emissions are proportional. That's not how it works.
>>
>>544249564
TV/Radio waves don't poke holes in your DNA you absolute retard.
>>
>>544247620
Thanks nasal you've made that remaining fuck ass small budget worth.
>>
>total cost of apollo programs was $25.8 billion
>this year's budget of nasa was $24.44 billion
>achieved = fuck all

Radiowaves are on the complete opposite side of the spectrum. They have long wavelengths and travel vast distances. That's why we use them for long-range comms. For gamma rays, which have short wavelengths, to reach us they need to be very high energetic.

Anyway I'm not wasting my day talking to trolls. I understand you want the people to live with a false worldview and you're very invested in keeping this lie alive, but you're not gonna ruin my mood by twisting scientific facts.
>>
>>544247620
but what they won't tell you is that the high voltage firmament is the source of the cosmic rays.

>Being this stupid
I don't think you are tho. I think you're just trying to stir shit for attention. Fuck you. Go die in a puddle.

we got the cool globe earth splash screen for iphone and everybody bought it.
>>
>>544248113
Radiation isn't that dangerous unless it's a high dose or a very long dose.
The Apollo missions were only 12 days at the longest, and all the astronauts wore dosimeters.
>>
>>544247620
The sun is 390 times further away from the earth than the moon is
>>
>>544249704
Keep in mind that $25.8B in 1969 dollars is $235B in 2026 dollars, and that NASA today spends money on more things than just human spaceflight.

I agree that NASA today is very inefficient with money, especially in the SLS/Orion/Artemis programs.
>>
>>544247620
Please read Ingo Swann's books. There's stuff on the moon.
>>
>>544247620
NASA is, was, and shall remain, a liar.
