Genuinely curious: How has London's tourism industry been affected over the past twenty years by immigration?
>>544260607unaffected because nearly all of the tourism is concentrated in the central boroughs along the Thames river where hardly anyone lives unless they're a millionaire. it is just endless hotels, embassies, offices, stores, stations and student accommodation. the term for it is 'Inner London'. all the immigration was to the middle outer boroughs that you wouldn't just stumble upon. it's a huge city so you would need to walk for hours to end up there.

>>544262596I will give you an anecdote of my own. One time I was in central London and while waiting for a bus at night, a drunk guy started hassling me. He looked swarthy, but he had the weirdest accent I didn't recognise. He also didn't speak English well. After offering him a cigarette he he chilled out and told me he was from Transnistria and then fucked off into the darkness. Those are the kind of people you deal with in London.
