Do you know how to fly a jet
>>
Maybe the answer is to import 1 billion more Indians into Canada? Maybe we could call it the Jeet on a jet program? The SAARforce?
>>
>>544268164
Nobody wants to fight for chinks and street shitters
>>
>>544268164
yes, i have thousands of hours on flight sims with every plane known to man
>>
>>544268164
simulators taught me how cold start and fly an f-16
>>
>>544268164
They're angling to drop the F-35 program.
>>
>>544268164
Yes.
>>
Can't they just sell the F-35s?

Also the lack of fighter pilots in Western airforces seems ridiculous when you can train people on the ground on PCs for fuck all. Unironically reach out to streamers that fly these things virtual all day offer them the real thing.
>>
>>544268405
Good.
>>544268453
Sell them to who? The Chinese?
>>
>>544268164
I have like 20000 hours between Microsoft Flight Sim, ARMA3, and Jane's Advanced Tactical Fighter simulator. Show me how to do the checklists and tell me the takeoff speed/stall speed/approach speed and I'll figure the rest out.
Does that count?

>forced to commit extreme evils for the material gains of people you cannot disobey
>for basically upper class minimum wage
maybe there's a reason smart people don't go near this evil.
>>
The fuck purpose does Canada even have buying fighter jets? Where do they use them? Sounds like a waste of money to me.
>>
>>544268164
The only "strange" vehicles I know how to drive are a forklift or a ship.
I used to have the vision required to be a pilot or a sniper. Not anymore.
I have flown a dual-prop though. It's pretty fun. Being a fighter-pilot must be a blast.

>Jane's Advanced Tactical Fighter
Bro you just activated nostalgia neurons I forgot I had for like 25 years.
>>
>>544268501
Back to the US seems the obvious move (doubt other NATO countries want to buy any more US weapons now than they're already committed to given uncertainty over parts, etc. with the US changing sides)
>>
>>544268646
No refunds on boondoggles, you pay now.
>>
>>544268453
Most won't pass the fitness test. You have to actually be in shape to be a real pilot.
>>
>>544268538
Illusion of national strength + they kinda have to buy them, it's sort of price you pay to be in NATO.
>>
>>544268164
WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE HAVE TO BUY THE F35 AGAIN?
WE MADE ALL OUR PAYMENTS
WE WERE PART OF THE DEAL SINCE DAY 1
WE EVEN GAVE YOU ALL OUR GOLD
WHAT DO YOU MEAN A NEW PURCHASE?

FUCKING TRUDEAU THAT ASSHOLE
>>
>>544268613
the f-22 is still god tier in my mind
also, hello fellow old.
>>
I know how to fly a jeet
>>
>>544268164
Buying a second jet is actually really stupid. Pick a lane.
>>
Can Indians run two fighter programs?

When I was doing construction near Cold Lake, there was a fighter jet doing low pass for fun near the working camp.

>The fuck purpose does Canada even have buying fighter jets?
He doesn't know Canada is between Russia and the U.S.
>>
>>544268164
It's time for flying Jeets in Canada.
>>
Just sell the F35s to some other sucker. The maintenance savings will pay for a fleet of gripens.
>>
>>544268164
Perhaps their recruitment procedures are too inefficient. Unemployment isn't zero In Canada, so finding potential candidates shouldn't be too hard.

Too bad they never built the Arrow

When you sign up for the CAF sometimes they don't get back to you for months.
>>
>>544268254
because the tejas program was so great
>>
>>544272332
At a glance it had been a great commonwealth aircraft, which the yanks would pretend didn't exist, the soviets failed to clone and SAAB nicked the best parts into Draken. But it seems the bongs didn't want it and Diefenbaker wasn't entirely wrong about axing it.
>>
>>544270876
The CAF isn't like the US marines who will snatch you up in one week after you sign a form. You have to wait many months, sometimes they just stop contacting you entirely and forget about you. It can take 1.5 years to start basic training after signing your name. It is a retarded, complacent, poorly funded, possibly corrupt cluster fuck that was also turned into a social science experiment with the Trudeau era MeToo purges of leadership and ideological courses added.
>>
>>544268164
Not enough people here does not refer to the pilots. It’s all the maintenance and support personnel you need to maintain two entirely different air frames with two entirely different logistics chains.
>>
>>544268453
Dont you have to be super duper high iq or something and not to mention a clean slate. Regardless, manned jets are a thing of the past.
>>
>>544268164
Stupid ukrainians know how to fly a jet, so it shouldnt be a problem for canada. They can just lower their standards.
>>
>>544268164
but you have millions upon millions of saars
why not teaching them to fly saar
