He spent a decade using his position as AG to delay a trial over fraud charges filed against him in 2014
The Texas House of Representatives, where his own party has a large majority, voted to impeach him for seperate corruption and bribery charges (the Senate did not reach the 2/3 majority needed to remove him from office but several members of his own party did vote for his removal)
He retaliated against members of his staff who cooperated with investigators in his corruption case by firing all of them. They sued, and he ended up settling with them out of court with an agreement that Texas taxpayers would be on the hook for paying 6.6 million dollars in damages to the people he fired
Then there was the pedo who admitted to repeatedly raping a nine year old boy who Paxton's office offered a plea deal where he'd only have to serve one day in jail and wouldn't even have to register as a sex offender
