A nations strength comes from its unity. Unity comes from similarity. Globalism priorities land and material over unity. It views people as cogs to achieve these objectives. Citizenship is then viewed as a means to extract value or an obstacle to acquiring more labor. The more the government becomes an extractive mechanism rather than an organization that exist for the benefit of its people, the less those people invest in that system. When that happens eventually the government just becomes a tool of tribal forces. The more they fight over it the less legitimate the government becomes and the more balkanized the empire becomes. Eventually civil war and apathy fracture the empire. Then the empire shrinks into irrelevance. Then the tribes that remain form their own civilizations to start the process over again. Globalism is the death of empires. Civilization cannot out grow the people who it was made for no matter how hard it's elites try.
