The man behind the curtain cannot rely on the king’s goodwill, pity, or respect for the law.

A king’s military power is entirely dependent on his ability to pay, feed, and equip his soldiers. If a king decides to march his army into your vault to kill you and seize your gold, you do not fight his army directly. Instead, you activate your transnational network.

Because you manage the finances and credit of the king’s rivals (the neighboring empires), the moment the king turns his swords on you, you instantly cut off his credit, call in his debts, and simultaneously open a limitless line of credit to his deadliest enemies.

You fund a proxy war that invades his borders from three sides at once. The king realizes that killing you gives him a pile of gold today, but triggers an un-fundable, multi-front invasion that deposes him tomorrow.

Armies do not run on raw courage; they run on supply chains. Historically, the financial cartels didn't just hold paper money; they controlled the bottlenecks of the materials required to wage war; specifically the international trade of saltpeter (for gunpowder), copper, iron, and grain.

A king might command the men with the swords, but if you control the global shipping networks, the docks, and the international merchants, you can quietly freeze his supply of gunpowder or block the grain shipments feeding his capital.

Once an empire transitions from a simple barter economy to a complex system of credit and commerce, the money supply becomes incredibly fragile.

If you are the master accountant running the central bank or the state's financial clearinghouse, you hold the keys to the entire domestic economy. If the king moves against you, you don't fight back with weapons; you simply pull the plug on the banking system. You freeze credit, halt the clearing of notes, and trigger an artificial, catastrophic economic depression overnight.

The King can just nationalize the money system after killing the bankers if he has guts though. See North Korea. Juche is possible.

Again, so low IQ you're actually drawing attention to it all lol.

Tell us why jews celebrate hanukkah but disavow the Israelite history/writing it was taken from (1 & 2 Maccabees)?

Under modern matrilineal rabbinic beliefs, edomites/herod would not be jews
Under Israelite patrilineal torah based title/birthright practices, edomites and herod are not jews.
>do not repeat rabbinic lies that worked on illiterate pagans in the 3rd century.
