Responding officers found Metallica Harrison suffering from injuries and discovered the bodies of a man and a 3-year-old boy while checking the room, according to police. Metallica Harrison was then transported to a hospital. Police said the investigation determined the deaths were the result of an isolated domestic incident and there was no threat to the public. Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso described the case as a "violent domestic tragedy." "This was a contained thing. The violence, although extreme, all took place within the confines of that room and involved close family members," Mancuso said at a news conference on Oct. 13. The investigation remains ongoing, and Metallica Harrison is awaiting arraignment before Magisterial District Judge Daniel Kresge, according to police. Earl Ackerman, the affiant on the complaint, said investigators discovered two knives in the bathroom that did not belong to the resort. Investigators also found several medication bottles and containers holding what appeared to be blood. Staff at the Great Wolf Lodge told investigators the family had checked into the resort on Sept. 21 and had extended their stay through Oct. 13, according to the complaint. During the 911 call, Metallica Harrison told the dispatcher her husband and son were "already gone," adding that the knives she was using were "not working" and she was too weak to stab her neck, the complaint states. Mancuso said at the news conference on Oct. 13 that investigators worked through the night gathering evidence.
