Oh no!Nobody wants the boomers' homes. They were counting on that money for retirement!!!https://archive.is/Zu5lm
>>544317539>condothat's not a home, it's an apartment with extra steps
Can't sell your house?Oh, sorry, you should have bought right in the middle of a big city with lots of jerbs.Nobody wants your bungalo in the retirement community pops.
>>544317539>'They also believe in climate change and don't want to invest a dollar in Florida.'
>nearly nothingYou mean they're getting what they paid for them +inflation.
Boomers are crashing out.Nobody wants their houses!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fpC5WFYZDk
>>544317539lol there's boomers in a shithole building next to me that are dealing with this.
>>544317539>We are retiring in Florida! They failed to realize that they were also supposed to die in Florida.
>>544317539The fun part is, Boomer is going to have to sell because of the cancer, and I have all the time in the world to wait you out, granpa LOL
>>544317539Raise property taxes to force them to sell.
>>544318234not on old condos in florida. COA rules changed and they must now have adequate funding for repairs ahead of time, a much higher threshold than before. With contractor pricing through the roof (hehe) right now, many of these condos have much value. This common area ownership structure has an implicit moral hazard thats existed since condos were developed, this is just the logical conclusion.
>>544317539>floridaPretty much boomerica. Gonna be funny when the HOA fee is the same as the mortgage.
>>544317621You mean it's not a house.
>buy shitty apt complex>quick fix and paint>turn into condos>sell to boomers as investments>15-20 years later try to sell for 10 times what they paid>nobody willing to buy because entire building needs to be overhauled>boomers blame roasted chicken
>>544319366Its his greedy kids that will sell his house that he worked all his life for
>>544317539So many Indians could live here. Indians like to live in close proximity to friends and family.
>>544318234>>544319533>>544319580It’s worse, lots of places in Florida have a “capital contribution fee”, of which I’ve seen them be 42,000 dollars and 74,000 dollars. That’s means to sell your home the buyer has to pay that in addition to the price. So you’ll see places listed for 30-40K, but the price is more like 100k, and most of it goes to some Jew who built the place 40-50 years ago. No updates, and these places don’t have any community amenities like an apartment complex, no gym or pool, not even an office, all that money just gets sucked out of the transaction. It’s fucked, same with land lease and HOA fees, you’re dumping money into nothing. Land fees are fucking nuts, put up a trailer, sell the trailer, but lease the land, and every new buyer has to pay your kikey “land lease” fee every month. These are traps for the elderly that have 100k left and need a home, then they pay 70% of their social security to the land lease, and have a few hundred Leftöver for their food. It’s a fucking racket, it’s disgusting.
>>544321664You know I had a chance to buy some condos in hallandale back in '11-'12. So glad I didnt now.
somebody please jeet that fucking entire building up. 140+ jeets could fit in that bad boy
