In America, my childhood hometown, is under 20k population. Growing up it was 98% white. Now it's 50% white 50% Indian/paki/Bangladesh. Every year more whites leave. When I visit my parents I get dirty looks from the immigrants walking down the street. They don't say hello or engage in small talk like you would expect in a small town. They carry knives in the schools and funding was diverted from science programs for diversity programs and ESL teachers. The town council and school board are majority brown now. They don't share the same values or culture. It breaks my heart when I go back to visit my parents and see how it has changed.
