The issue is more that when you have a random black character in a games people will lose their shit. Ranting it's dei and demanding a deep historical dive into all lore along with demanding to know every game dev etc. Like 4 page explanation why you put a black character in your game! But release a meh $5 AI slop gang banger game with asset flip content and not even the most basic of research into the topic people go nah this is fine.
