So consoles tried to fix a problem that was never even a problem. The likes of Halo 2 matchmaking, half the time was it trying to "match" you with people. Whereas if you just played something like counterstrike you browsed the servers by ping, and played. If it was shit, you just found a new server. None of this nonsense of trying to "match" people like going to a server is hard.It also made things really easy because people can just kick and ban cheaters/spergs. Whereas with the "matchmaking" approach you had to always run to daddy Microsoft or Sony. The system was really shit too because whenever there were cheaters the likes of Microsoft would give cheaters their six hours of fun, because they didn't want modders to know how exactly they detected they were cheating, so they were willing to let maybe tens or even a hundred or more players suffer through some bullshit of joining a match made game that you get penalised for quitting more than if you lost, so you go read a book or do something else for like 20 minutes while the cheaters have their fun.It was always a shit system. It was never good. Just because you were 13-14 and thought it was cool to say nigger in the lobby doesn't mean it was actually good.
