PICRELA couple of days ago I went to Antwerp. It was genuinely the most eye-opening experience I've ever had in my life. You can see thousands of clips on twitter about how bad it is, but there's just something about experiencing it in real life that is indescribable to me.The reason why I was so shocked is because I don't really go out that much. I live in a quiet town, which is thankfully still 90+% white. Sometimes I visit Brussels, but that's mainly for the Christmas market, and it's in an extremely touristic area with still lots of white people (still even in the nice parts of Brussels it's getting really bad).But if you look at the background in the picture you can see the dome of the station of Antwerp. This picture IS taken in the "nice" area of Antwerp. You might have thought I took this picture in the ghetto or something, but nope, we just visited the most popular areas of Antwerp including the main center.I'm not joking when I say that I heard Dutch only once, and that was the woman who sat behind the desk of the museum we visited. I heard more arabic than Dutch, French or English. I heard Dutch one other time but it was a group of moroccan guys talking in extremely broken Dutch, so I don't even consider that Dutch.I don't mean to be a doomer but it's genuinely gone. Life is about as good as it gets here. The only time I saw a similar quality of living while traveling to Europe was when I stayed at some $1,000 a night luxury resort in Greece. Even the airports down there had women in hijabs walking around. I would say the edge that the US has is that it is huge and very lightly populated across about 70-80% of the country, so it's easy to avoid certain demographics. It wouldn't be that bad in Europe if their issue was contained to just big cities but a lot of governments are intentionally putting 500 people in villages of 1,200, so that limits your options much more so.
