I was in NYC and food prices doubled in the last years. Rent is like 6k a month for a 1 bedroom apartment.

Was this all planned? Do people like inflation more than taxes or balanced budgets?
>>
>>544534404
The plan is to wean everyone off capitalism by draining their bank accounts and eventually getting them into government assisted housing. Slavery is coming back

>conspiratard slop
It's just Blackrock and other companies getting away with fucking everybody over because of a lack of regulations

>So debt is just paid off by the working class through inflation?
for other countries yes
the debt of the USA is paid by the other countries which is why BRICS wants to get off the dollar
>>
>>544534552
What you just said is a conspiracy by normie standards. You will own nothing und be happy
>>
Governments can pay off debt using money from 3 sources: tax revenue, loans, or inflatiion.
The first is unpalatable because nobody wants to pay more in taxes.
The second just changes the debtor which can be somewhat useful but doesn't solve the problem.
The third is the best option because few people pay attention to it and when they do they blame it on people and things besides government. Plus the poorer you are the worse it hurts, so rich and influential people aren't as bothered by it as they would be by normal taxes.

>get off the dollar
Not going to occur.
(yes obviously BRICS, cryptotards goldbugs and anyone else can *edge gradually towards* 'getting off of the dollar' but USD remains the entire world's default reserve currency denomination)

>muh other countries
EVeryone is in this prison, together.
When the global debt market implodes, so go all 160 nations and 9 billion humans.

Nobody is buying the debt.

planet Earth is controlled, run by (no, not 'people', governments, nation-states or presidents) *central banks*.
Not a single 4chan user comprehends global finance or macroeconomics at all whatsoever
(You)'re a slave to central banks

Debt is not really that relevant it's about the interest that the government has to pay in ratio to the state budget.
>>
>>544534404
that's mostly how it works, yeah.
they'll kvetch a bit right now that the debt burden in our budget will grow from 5 to 10% within the next 10 years and how much that will cripple us, it won't actually happen (in that way) because the state never has to repay its debts.
it will simply inflate the amount of money in circulation, and the ones who actually pay it off are the workers who get assfucked by inflation that outruns their salary increases.
the government won't have to save a single penny, they can always pass their debt on to someone else.
>>
>>544534634
You are correct
>>
Main problem with and *threat of* all sovereign debt is Interest Payments—thanks to the individual magnitudes of each sovereign nation's debt having grown so much over the past few decades.
Global debt topped $255 trillion in 2019 and (just six years later) $350 trillion in 2025, almost four times the amount of all global economic output.
Public debt—sovereign debt of governments—in 2026 comprises ninety-four percent of the entire global economy; IMF predicts in three years that reaches one hundred percent. Interest Payments on U.S. fedgov debt now vastly exceed annual discretionary spending by Congress, and four years from now at these spending rates over $2.2+ trillion/annum the U.S. treasury hits the brick wall of total default. (Global debt market won't last nearly that long.) Fully half of the annual $2 trillion U.S. fedgov budget (money that doesn't exist to begin with) instantly goes to Interest Payments on the debt Advanced economies are now paying $3.3 trillion in interest on internationally traded government bonds as of 2025: that is more than the entire world spent on defese or artificial intelligence (AI). World governments will soon owe as much as the entire global economiy produces in 12 months duration. Total debt levels and deficit spending of the past 30 years has eclipsed that of the past several centuries of western civilization, and absurdly low and negative interest rate borrowing costts have incentivized national governments to no longer borrow on the expecataion that they will repay, but rather the expectation that they will refinance.

If you're comparing country-by-country the real metric is:

It's another way for people to pay taxes. I'm not sure how controlled it is since they attempted to do that with Weimar and it ended in Nazi Germany.

Not how any of this works. At all

Central banks own every country, all 160 nations on Earth.
Every country, its sovereign populace is in hock to central banks via Interest Payments alone, never mind 'inflation'
(currency devaluation is an overall phenomenon of the debt based system worldwide; e.g. the USD is tallest midget in the room)

"paying off" of any 1 single nation's debt never occurs or is intended to, that's not the purpose or concept/idea of this system
Central banks exist and thrive to be the lenders and buyers of last resort: Only way this system persists is by continuous infinite expansion and issuance of debt.
Money is created *as debt* by each sovereign nation's treasury+central bank monetary policy. That's the whole point: continuous production, expansion of debt itself.
"pay off," kek
>>
>>544535464
If debts were never paid off then they'd be completely pointless. Nobody would ever give anybody any money or do any work for them if they expected to never receive any compensation.
>>
>>544534404
people go in debt voluntary btw, they don't have to, they can also defund governments whenever they want, but majority are retarded slave minded monkeys, so this monetary system reflects the stupidity of society
>>
>>544534552
Reaganomics. Oh and Clintonomics, Bushnomics, Obamanomics, Trumponomics.

Boomernomics in reality. Jews have been deregulating everything so they can pillage American for decades.

Glad the niggers are turning on them. There will be a genocide against Jews soon thanks to everyone having enough of their greed

>>
>>544534404
If we had a Purge Day and killed every pensioner, ideally with maximum sadism like petrol bombing them individually, there essentially wouldn't be any debt as they are the ones taking out the money that causes it, and the massive social and health costs, and their own personal debts which are massive as they're consoomers. Its just working age people forced to subsidise pensioners long after boomers and silents have gone.
>>
>>544534404
The debt will never be paid off because then the banks that own western civilization would not be able to charge compound interest on their productivity.
