In this website I often see people bringing american war blunders (most notably Afghanistan and Vietnam) whenever someone criticizes Russia's poor performance in the war against Ukraine. At first, it may seen logical in order to expose that any military power may face such friction in warfare, but for anyone relatively aware of military matters, it's clear it brings more harm than good.To understand it better, we should categorize and differentiate Ukraine and Afghanistan/Vietnam and the context that may influentiate military action in a positive or negative way for the aggressors. Starting by Afghanistan/Vietnam:>Both countries far away from American mainland and main point of military and industrial power>Both countries with formidable natural deffensive positions, mountain ranges, valleys and hills offer perfect ground for afghan guerrilla and limits aerial support effectiveness and as for Vietnam, hills covered with dense jungle, swamps and wide rivers make it perfect for guerrila warfare and difficults ground logistics for invading forces. As for Ukraine>located close to Russia's main point of power, Western Russia, its most populated, economic developed and militarized zone.>despite having some geographical obstacles, Ukraine is mostly flat. Theoretically, perfect ground for Russian mechanized forces. When we take these variables into account and understand that>Russia has significantly more casualties than the US (dare I say) in these two wars combined in just 5 years>Russia has less controled land in comparison to the beginning of the war, almost 5 years ago>Despite the fact Ukraine has been receiving foreign support, the Soviet Union/Russia and socialist allies also heavily supported Vietnam and Afghanistan against the US, Ukrainie's foreign support is not an exception or something newWhen you capture these points, you begin to understand that it exposes even further how poorly Russia has performed in this war.
>>544551204Russia is so full of propaganda rhat they believed their lies but it turns out they were a paper tiger. All is not lost though they have the opportunity to reform and learn, see what works well and develop those ideas. The issue is that the cost is very high both economically, geopolitically and humanly
>>544551204You wrote all that text (that I did not read) just to dance around the fact that the US loses wars while Russia is winning
>>544553407Exactly, a cost I don't think current Russia can afford to get out
>>544553855Yet you couldn't present a single solid response against any of my points. It just shows despair.
>>544555814All your points are deranged agitprop and hallucinations. Discussing those would give them legitimacy, just like discussing delusions of a schizo would and we don't do that. Your shit points just get flushed down the drain, faggot. Go cry some more and cope harder.
>>544551204>To understand it better, we should categorize and differentiate Ukraine and Afghanistan/Vietnam and the context that may influentiate military action in a positive or negative way for the aggressors. Why does a lot of russian propagada use this grandiose tone? Also influentiate is not a real word you fucking retard.

>>544556966>can't come with a single structured responseGrim
>>544557676>>544557418>>544557726Not a single structured response againKek, you know it's catastrophic
>>544553855Russia couldn't defeat japan, afghanistan and has made minimal progress against a country that it literally borders. Your post is pure cope.
>>544557977I am seething real hard
>>544558384Not now, but you will be when you fail to run away from a ukrainian drone while I watch you die on telegram.
>Afghanistan/VietnamBoth wars were an attempt to assume control of imperial French colonial holdings (Indochina - Vietnam) and imperial British colonial holdings (Afghanistan - Iraq, Sykes-Picot meme countries) as both european empires collapsed and disintegrated after WW1 and WW2. It was essentially a brazen attempt by a no-name off-brand incel chud country at attempting to larp as a "superpower" and seize control and impose new world order, but also somehow attempt to maintain the basic architecture of the former colonial world order. Needless to say it ended in complete geostrategic failure with meme Sykes-Picot countries falling into greater Iran sphere of influence and French Indochina completely abolishing external control.
>>544558474Stfu mutt cuckold. Dont you have some cum to slurp up?
>>544558555I think this unsubstantiated self-assuredness came from the relatively quick defeat of the failing Spanish empire at the end of 19th/beginning of 20th century, which is all fine and dandy, but now exactly a century since that time 80% of the population in superpower larp country speaks Spanish. It's basically a series of hapless geostrategic defeats.
>>544559044And the point to focus on, is that despite being a political failure, US forces got way fewer losses after several years of continuos warfare in comparison to Russia in Ukraine. Not only that, but the US managed to capture key capital cities and hold key infastructure quite quickly, unlike Russia. The US broke these countries apart into a state of guerrilla warfare, Russia, after 4 years of intense warfare, hasn't been able to do so in Ukraine, which is quite telling.
>>544558593Isn't Russians inviting Africans and Middle Easterners since russian men have been dying a lot?
>>544560218>political failureIt's not a political failure, it's a geostrategic failure, which results from lack of long term planning and proper assessment of downstream consequences.
>>544560526The defeat happened at home. The US citizens were not willing to fight this war, despite having all the resources and indicators the US could wage war and keep the region under control.
>>544560898They went bankrupt and officially defaulted on financial obligations in 1971 and 2009 as a result of attempting to assume control of former european colonial holdings. This kind of goes against your narrative of having "all the resources".
