The explanations offered by the Canadian authorities don't even align with each other, and they don't make sense either. Apparently fire-detecting space birds saw the fire hours before the incident is claimed to have happened. And the map of gas infrastructure doesn't match the claims that it could have been hit by artillery and caused such a fire.

So what happened? Rampantly speculate ITT.

>hindu nationalists and khalistan supporters attacked each other
>new weapons being tested and failed

Whatever happened, it's important to take time to speculate. And just spitball it, don't worry too much about what the authorities said.

This anon lives in Wainright hospital's long-term care wing while recovering from car accident injuries that paralyzed him.

Says hospital announced code orange which had all the doctors/nurses "at the ready" and then for the next 12 hours a mix of army vehicles, ambulances, and even pickup trucks were dropping off soldiers with severe burns and/or fingers blown off by the truckload steadily for a period of 12 hours and that it's obviously way more than just a fire. Straight up accuses the government of lying.

Claims they ran out of room for patients several times over, and watched medics parachuting in and landing on the high school football field across the street.

Media blackout, he's just in a rare/unique spot as a witness.

The only realistic 'accidental' explanation would be some dud artillery shells cooking off due to heat. That many guys could have been close enough to get blown up if they were fire fighting or something and didn't realize that old shells were under their feet.
>Its speculation but its a possibility. Wainwright has live ammo all over it and has been in use for decades.
>>
>>544573794
Yeah do you think they're aiming at the barracks closely enough that a bit of wind would carry the shell into them?

C'mon. You'd design your range so you're not at risk of shooting the barracks even if the piece is pointed 45 degrees off.

Things we know for certain:
>Hospitals went code orange, which is mass casualty event
>Doctor admits to CBC that the number of casualties would overwhelm a major city
>Doctor says it's a "once in every 25 years type of disaster"
>12 hours of emergency flights, everything from helicopters to Beech Kings (air evac), flying to not one but FOUR major cities
>There's a dude living in the hospital's LTC wing saying he didn't sleep and victims were coming in by the truckload and either missing fingers or in various states of dying.
>His posts started around 4pm yesterday and he was posting throughout the night, which means around 12 hours of victims arriving
>medics parachuting in at like 3am and landing on the high school football field
>Says the number of victims was demonstrably more than the 50 or so initially reported just by watching vehicles arrive and drop off groups of obviously injured/dying people.

Official Story:
>4 dead
>39 injured

So we either had a completely disproportionate response to a minor incident, or there's like 200 people that were killed in this and the government has no idea how to admit it.

amount of causalities doesn make sense like there was 200 soldiers there
why were 50 of them all grouped around an artillery?
even if you take into account incompetency the cheer number of causality cancel the vast majority of scenario

a fire in an ammunition depot would have killed/injured only the people in the vicinity or would just have blown people into little bits

Something had to have gone boom, either caused by a fire or resulting in a fire.

Scrub fires don't kill 4-7 and critically injure 60~ (those numbers also don't track with the hospital statements which indicate something far worse).

Bongs have been doing this a LOT lately with their happenings as well. At some point the glowniggers realised it was impossible to put out and control a single state approved narrative that people can fixate on and then question, so instead i'm pretty sure they're just going full commie firehose of falsehoods, harder to fixate on and question and people just lose interest quickly.

The simple reason would be that the military brass realize they fucked up, keeping people training in knowingly dangerous conditions and are trying to keep it contained and quiet to limit the fallout. Rumour and inaccuracies fill the vacuum.

It's actually wild. When I was in for deployments you needed to pass a bare minimum PT test that wasn't made easier for women like the regular yearly PT test is, but it was still stupid easy, and when women couldn't even pass that they would ignore it and still deploy them overseas. It's embarrassing either way but if those shells weren't simply filled with explosives but chemicals/napalm then it's quite a bit worse. Canadas military is extremely retarded, corrupt and incompetent, this is a military that when a commander got European troops killed, knew they where held captive, and did nothing out of fear for violence, when he returned home he was decorated and praised and given honours, a military that got involved in a extremely embarrassing friendly fire incident shooting themselves up, and the military called it a massive battle (biggest since ww2) and gave themselves medals, meanwhile no one else was involved -can't remember if it was croats or serbs, and the French and danish nearby reported no movement or activity from anyone
So I can absolutely believe it's incompetence and retardedness

kek to be faire it's very probably incompetency but something still ticking me
you can see where the fire started it wasn that far
how did it start and turned uncontrollable
also the amount of causality and the type of injuries does not match the reported event
if they were in the field, in the kind of narrow path of the fire, and were caught in it there would be large quantity of 3rd degree burns and respiratory issues
it's true that brush fire can burn wild but not for long if they got nothing to consume it's impossible
it's going to go through it extremely fast and stop burning fast because there's nothing to sustain it
something big created the fire for it to happen that way and close to where it happened
there's no forest nothing in between
I'm going to bet on what created the casualties started the fire
>>
>>544580034
It's normal for small fires to happen during live fire exercises, bullets and bombs get hot, and they normally don't pose any real danger, meaning that training can just continue on as normal. They have fire guards on station when the range is in use, and the base fire fighters are rapidly available for when things get a bit big, it seems like this escalated way faster than they could handle.

Most likely going to result in updated rules regarding allowable wind conditions, and more strict fire extinguishing rules, instead of allowing small burns.

just for reference, so you can see how quick a fire can spread. apparently you can't find it on youtube, they take it down, but i saw it a few years ago. they only shot one dragon's breath shell and started a wildfire. it spread so quickly it was insane.
now the training grenades i've just learned can easily do the same thing. my pet theory of the moment is that if you are using these grenades, then you would have at least a small stockpile of these things in boxes or crates so they're handy. so the fire hit one or a pile of those boxes and there you have it.

22 years in, I have trained in Wainwright many times before, I and anyone else who's been there can tell you that a bush fire is uncommon but very much a dangerous possibility. I've been witness to one such fire in 2007 which was quickly contained through the quick actions of combat engineers; took them 3 hours. Was there negligence in what happened recently? Possibly, but there shouldn't be anything to be suspicious about like some comments below seem to suggest. I guess we'll see as the story unfolds. (YT comment on a news reel)

>"Soldiers go there to prepare for deployment"... (Did someone not want to go?)
>"loss during training activity" "Serious fire incident occurred during a training incident"
>"during conduct of training, a grass fire ignited" "There was multiple training activities at the same time"
>"not a result of oil and gas infrastructure" "soldier dude claims not from outside interference"
