Why is it that there is constant happenings but nothing actually happens?
To keep you in a constant state of tension. Anything to distract you from God.
>>544583088This is a very epistemological question. We must first figure out what "is" a "happening" and what kind of relationship we are trying to be in with what we are defining as a "happening."First, what does it mean for something to "happen? Well entire philosophy books have been written about this single question, but there is no answer. The best answer is that things can only truly happen inside the human mind, because basing things only on physical happens means atoms define what it means for something to happen, but not a single person gives a fuck what atoms are doing. It must be something more phenomenological than physical. For NEETs on 4chan, a happening is probably phenomenologically a combination of things that give them prolonged dopamine and aesthetic validation towards slow but noticeable change, most importantly that which might give them an aesthetic value that outpaces the decay of their own personal aesthetic. For example, in 2026 it felt like something was "happening" because /pol/ was able to rally around the aestheticalized memetics of the Donald Trump Pepe election, and they felt an "energy" which was a combination of the aforementioned things above. Now in 2026 it has felt that even though there have been "events" such as Kirk getting shot, a new war starting in the middle east, and even the Ukraine stuff, that these are not constitutional of proper happenings, because the aesthetic value is not there. We are not able to maintain a proper relationship with these types of happenings. When 9/11 happened, people were able to rally behind the aesthetic of patriotism and revenge against who had attacked us, and people still felt life had a future back in 2001, so rallying behind a shared aesthetic was easy. Now in 2026 nobody feels there is a real future ahead of us, and life feels like a silent apocalypse, and so "happenings" feel dull and understimulating, as we are unable to find reasons to use them as aesthetic value.

>>544583856Professional NEET here. Happenings awaken the tribal instincts in my brain and 4chan is my tribe. Truth is it's everyone else against us, so the happenings are very important events when I must stay online during my entire waking hours in order to comment on the situation. Some happenings on top of my head: Turkisb coup d'etat, Trump election, Sky King, Covid, George Floyd, Ukraine, Gaza, Charlie Kirk... And most importantly every FIFA world cup. Honorable mention: Eurovision.I think it's hard to have major happenings today because internet is now fully botted with AIs writing articles, making news reels and commenting. It's hard to find organic news instead of orchestrated kosher breaking news.
>>544583856If /pol/ wants to have happenings again, these happenings will have to fit within the new aesthetic value of how people feel in current year. New happenings cannot look like the old happenings, because those kind of happenings are no longer happenings under our current aesthetic. Many of the people who thought Trump in 2016 was this exciting thing now need an anti-Trump to feel the same energy, because Trump has become the new status quo, the new swamp; the Epstein class. That's why so many ex-Trump supporters on /pol/ like Jon Ossoff. He is positioning himself to be the anti-Trump in 2028.But in terms of singular events, these no longer feel exciting because the violence and chaos has actually become boring, and we've realized how fleeting these events are, and how fleeting the dopamine that comes with them is. Now /pol/ want different types of happenings; something more sustainable that gives life meaning in the long run, or things that match the current aesthetic of living under the new AI driven future that is making everyone feel lost and without purpose. Even if some of /pol/ wants total accelerationist chaos, they want a certain type of that aesthetic that matches how they feel. All the happenings that we've had don't really align with anyone's aesthetics, and so they are unable to become entangled with strings of happenings that they would normally use to form a story of their personal and political aesthetic. In short, we need better stories to cling to.

>>544583088What do you expect to happen? Things happen every day you just for some reason think ONE thing is going to change everything in one second for some reason
>>544583943No problem. Let me know if you need anything else.

>>544583088>>544583856Trump's attack on Iran would definitely be a happening; aside from waking up a hornets' nest it effectively chased out all the bases from the middle east, and this is not an inconsiderable fact. Beyond destroying $5 billion in THAAD radars on day one each one of those bases cost $1.5 billion each. This is an irrevocable and historic earthquake that has completely shattered the geopolitical landcape that dates back to the meeting between FDR and the Saudi king on Bitter Lake at the end of WWII when America became the protectorate of the oil princes of the Gulf. Stop and think that WWI was staged precisely to interdict the Berlin-Istanbul railroad that the Germans had built through Serbia. Thus the assassination in Sarajevo, by a serb. We are now in historical times and the consequences, while slow moving will be far reaching in a manner perhaps OP cannot yet even imagine. The entire western world has been shaken to its core and we are in the process of becoming substantially poorer. Funny that the Ukraine war started with the destruction of the Nordstream 2 pipeline; that wasn't just Russian. It was 50% German, French and Dutch. Europe has been substantially made poorer by it and you can be assured that the turmoil in France and the rest of Western Europe had a large part of its cause from this geopolitical act of vandalism.https://youtu.be/1pn2z7zp1V0We are cursed with "interesting times". We about to become deeply humbled and impoverished on a level that will surpass the Great Depression, and the Great Depression stock prices didn't rise to 1929 levels again for another 25 years...
>>544583088when it does happen, you won't be here to say it happened, then can we know it happened? happenings paradox, like the quantum observer effect but more fake, gay and retarded
>>544583088the greatest happening requires all previous happenings to have happened, so until we get there, it'll keep happening but nothing will happen until the greatest happening but even then when it's over nothing will happen.
>>544583856It’s simple.Happenings happen all of the time everyday, most of these are boring and small and go unnoticed. Larger happenings happen but are either covered up or political and bureaucratic in nature and are not easy to find out about. But more importantly a real happening an actual seismic happening is specially something, an event that is either directly or though a series of chain reactions something that results in pushback against the tide of our current direction of travel of slipping into global communism and the erasure of Europe and the European peoples and there way of life. An event, even a large one that does very little to turn things around or accelerates more towards dystopia is not a real happening.Case in point the French riots, will these lead to real pushback? Or will stuff get smashed, they fizzle out no one’s deported or shot, and then they conclude by importing more + a few more restrictions on natives. Will the Canadian military deaths become a big scandal involving jeets / terrorists or will it quietly be forgotten and covered up?
