The Bond market is collapsing

>OH no. Muh fake shekels.
Money speculators should be hung next to the usurers and left on display to rot.

If you own any Federal Reserve Notes you are a money speculator. Bond prices predict inflation expectations
>>
>>544587459
Okay? Stocks are still up.
>>
>>544587890
>stocks are up

Everything is up including groceries and cancer dumb nigger. The stock market is not proof of a healthy financial system. If anything it just shows how bad inflation is
>>
duh uh moneys uh not duh moneys not important the government can just print more of it duhh
>>
>>544587459
Stocks will continue going up, home prices and rent will continue going up, everyday prices will continue to go up and enrich corporations. Why? Because billions of poverty stricken non white people want to live in Canada and America. More people = more economic transactions and scarcity of goods and services ie every price goes up!

Which bond market? Important distinction because the American one looks just fine, healthiest in the world.

The economy is just the 10%, if the 10% are doing good then the economy is doing good and vis versa. The bottom 90% are slaves and their well being doesn’t matter. The bottom 90% only care about social issues.
>>
How could this happen when we keep printing money, keep trying to expand entitlements and don't want to cut anything? We tried nothing and we're all out of ideas on how we could possibly pay back the people we borrowed from. I sure hope they keep letting us borrow from them even though we have no plan to pay them back. We all know this just ends with monetary debasement.

Good.

Rates go up because people aren’t buying bonds, when rates go up the nominal value of bonds goes below par (good time to buy at a discount right now) but people would rather buy SpaceX since higher returns.

theres absolutely zero issue with any of those problems because printing more money will fix all of them.

money is a completely meaningless issue in a post scarcity economic structure

Printing money would be good. It’s low interest rates that fucked shit up. You can’t argue against entitlements when there are no fucking jobs and house prices are needlessly inflated.
>>
>>544587459
How jewish.
>>
>>544587630
It stabilizes the economy numbnuts, you are the kind of retard that wants to ban short selling
>>
>>544588204

>Printing money fixes problems
Printing money just makes inflation worse. Then people stop using money as a store of value and start using assets instead which just causes more problems and supply issues. Inflation means you are getting paid less and that your savings are less valuable. It fucking sucks. It also makes it impossible to have long term contracts because nobody can predict how much value the money is gonna lose over a period like that.
>Post scarcity
We don't live in a post scarcity society. We have a limited supply of goods and money is the only way we have to determine who should get what. You fuck up monetary policy then you fuck up how goods move.
>>
>>544588778
i dont see what youre getting so upset about. this problem is not real. there is no issue here. money is the last thing we should be worried about.

>duhhh i need duh tokens duhhhh
no, you dont. you need material goods. monetary problems are no problem at all. productivity problems on the other hand...
>>
>>544587459
Weimar Republic 2.0 and it will end the same way.
>>
>>544588990
>Not real
It is real, because it effects everything. It determines goods being produced and moved. Monetary issues become material good issues. If your currency is worthless you can't buy shit and the people who made it are not going to give it to you for free.
>>
>>544589106
thats why we inflate it so slowly that no one realizes its losing value. they keep working for it. meanwhile we can use our control of it to invest into important productive industries like ai.
>>
>>544589214
>Inflate slowly
Well that doesn't work if the bond market falls apart. If nobody is lending us money then the only way to pay our bills is to rapidly inflate the currency by printing money, cut government spending, or raise taxes. We're too stupid to do something sensible like raise taxes or cut spending, so we are just gonna rapidly inflate our currency and suffer the consequences.

4chan virgins who call investing "money speculators" dont have money to invest.

>>
>>544587459
Oh no. Not muh heckin bond vigilantes. Stfu op you dumb memflaggot nigger.
>>
>>544589408
He’s not wrong when it’s not really backed by anything. I’d rather hold my “money” in stocks because at least the companies are beholden to their shareholders and pms because they’re scarce and represent embedded value through the cost of extracting and refining them. In principle governments are beholden to their shareholders via the bond market but they’ve got the infinite money glitch to fall back on. Brrrrrrrrr.
>>
>>544589561
Companies don't give a shit about shareholders, they only care about maxing executive bonuses and bailing when shit goes fuck up.
>>
>>544589618
I don’t disagree but their executives are often the biggest stockholders and are paid in stocks and options so they can dodge taxes. To put it another way, those executives have s vested interest in maintaining and increasing stock values because it’s money in their pockets. Can we say the same of elected officials with pensions that are indexed to the brrrr? I don’t think we can m8.
>>
Incidentally please don’t think for a second that I like this state of affairs. I hate having to play Jewish games with my savings and would much prefer that my government not devalue our currency to infinity and beyond, but here we are.
