I workout doing calisthenics in the Airbnb for exercise (plus walking to beach/cafe/restaurant). Any time in between those few hours is just bedrotting watching Youtube. Ive been all over the world and this was my routine whether Thailand, Croatia, Poland, Vietnam, Germany, Bali, Korea, Mexico, Czech Republic... if you were to ask me what to do in any of these countries worthy of note I would not be able to name a single thing despite spending months at a time in each one and I really dgaf. I remember back in 1971 summer me and my friend Rick hitchiked out to Long Beach Vancouver Island. It was accessible only by dirt road over the mountains. This one hick picked us up in his army surplus jeep and took way up this mountain off the track to Long Beach and dumped us there. We were stuck for hours till a kind local took us back down to the main road. A guy with a flatbed 6 wheeler picked us up and we sat against the cab with his dogs and he was flying like a maniac. Long Beach was pure unadulterated freedom. There were drag racers on the beach. There was a bad motorcycle wreck on the beach. Then a big storm blew in and we huddled behind some big driftwood logs and drank rum and smoked hash and got roally fucked up. Good times despite our total poverty and stupidity. I went back in 2005 or something. The road was 4 lanes and newly paved. There was no camping on or near the beach. There was a helicopter with Vietnam era sensors flying the length of the penisula every 15 minutes looking for transgressors. I didn't even want to park my car; there were paved lots with uniformed gremlins checking parking and handing out pricey tickets. The indians had set up some hotels at Uculet for $200+ a night. It totallly sucked. The freedom was gone. It was all commercial, designed to suck money out of you. And no beautiful girls anywhere.
