why should he stop it when he made it falling in first place. We may never learn the reason, what he has done, but it's clear that this guy deserved it since this was an act of divine justice.
>>
>>544599826
You say stop as if it fell by its own accord. Here is a likely scenario:
In their past lives, that priest was in an altercation where he clubbed a dude to death. He asked to have the life of a priest to help repay that sin. The guy who was clubbed to death also wanted a life where he could sin very little and repay a lot of his original sin and became the crucifix, so they both agreed this would be a good outcome. It is arguable that the priest lived his life in an upright way, but the act was long ago planned out.
In the final round, these things will be more clear.

Shouldn't it be 33yrs later? Shenanigans I say! July is the 5th month in the Islamic Calendar & 7th month with the Gentile Calendar

Doesn’t matter how strong your faith is. Seeing your beloved pastor die right in front of you hurts everyone and makes God look worse.
All you do is cope and make excuses for his passivity and evil.
>>
>>544601852
If you question God just because something uncomfortable happens in your life, that's your fault for having the faith of someone entitled and arrogant that throws a tantrum each time you don't get your way, not God's.

>>544601776
If seeing the head of your faith get killed by a symbol of your faith while in building for your faith surrounded by people of that faith doesn't make you question your faith, then you're not sentient and have nothing to brag about

You never wonder that maybe God isn’t perfect?
No, because I don't conflate perfect with "things always go my way".
>That he doesn’t have your best interests in mind?
No, because sometimes what's in my best interest is something I deeply despise. Like a dad taking away the ipad from his kid so it doesn't get brainrotted. The kid might tantrum, tell the das he's an asshole and that he hates him and genuinely believe that his dad is an unfair faggot that doesn't love him for not letting him have his way when the dad simply gives him boundaries precisely beacause he loves him too much to spoil him and let him get weak and rotten.

One guy can be a secret murderer or whatever, but one "nation" that supposedly lost mostly kids seems far more absolutely innocent (unless its system of faith and governance irredeemably corrupts the people from the cradle onwards of course).

If you wanna imply about god's opinion it's better not to try to pass off obvious exceptions as rule and viceversa.
>>
Not a Catholic myself but I think there's a decent number of them that will tell you that the clergy has been compromised for a while, starting with Vatican 2.

>>
>>544602497
Yes because a mother would be human and thus not in a position to decide over life and death. God is divine and the one in charge of life and death, deciding who will die when and how is part of his job, thus not evil. If you think being christian means being protected from dying because you really really don't like the concept of death, you're just being childish and ridiculous.

Now give 10% of your income to the jews in Israel, as Saul the Pharisee, who created christianity, commands of you in Romans.

Rabbi Yeshua ben Yosef never let jewish lands except under duress and explicitly told his followers that his teachings were just for his fellow jews. Saul was the one who decided "Nah, he was just kidding :) "

That's a lot of presumptions about a god beyond mortal understanding heh.

I'm an atheist myself but the way i see it that old testament god is more C'thulhu-like than akin to a good guy on a cloud.

Not malicious, just doing his own thing, like a writer writing his book, not really even able to take seriously the suffering of the characters he writes.

Worship in that context is simply behaving in such a way that conforms to what will lead to him writing you a"good" ending, by your own moral and personal frame of reference.

And that can be done right and wrong too, obviously. Religious worship would just be a collection of best practices, some of which work better than others.

And judging by the ones exclusively bemoaning their lot in life being primarily islamic / Palestinian i daresay that maybe their "Best practices" so to speak aren't doing them favors, as they themselves very obviously do not like the outcomes.

Evil exists because without it, free will would be pointless. Free will exist, because without it, doing God's will would be meaningless. God gave us free will so we can chose to do his will because it pleases him. You might not be happy about living in a reality where he creates us so we use our free will to reject evil and seek him instead but you not liking that doesn't change the fact that it is how it is. You can rebel and tantrum or you can accept the way reality works. Your choice.
You thinking the fact evil exists means reality is imperfect is because you approach reality from a very human pov. From God's perspective, his creation is perfect because it is set up to work exactly as intended.

I'm a former christians (I know Jesus is real but I hate him)
This was not a random accident, the crucifix could easily have fallen at a moment when nobody was near it. But it fell right on the priest, and I heard he died, so 100% intentional GOD bringing the priest in for judgement, and probably hell. The priest literally got bonked to death by Jesus himself.

God sometimes ends peoples life and they go to heaven, this priest died whilst proclaiming Christ on his lips.

It depends on what pleasure you're striving for. Not all pleasure is created equally. For example, there's pleasure that's destructive to yourself (drugs) or others (rape), there's pleasure that's ok under certain circumstances (sleeping with your wife, enjoying a nice meal) but can be destructive if taken out of good context (hook up culture, gluttony). Striving for closeness to God is a pleasure that's non destructive, so in the hierarchy of hedonism, it's at the very top.

Which is why he is God and you aren't. You're thinking on too small of a scale. And yes, as a human, if you can stop a child being raped, you absolutely should do that. But if God took away the option for a child to be raped in this world, he would start to infringe on the free will he gave us, and he's extremely serious about giving us full free will because he wants us to have to overcome our weak animal nature and chose to use our free will for creation, not destruction. But for that he has to give us the freedom to use it for destruction because we can only use it to create to the same extend as we are free to use it to destroy.
>How do you feel about circumcision of a healthy baby boy?
Evil and destructive. Anyone that does this uses their free will to destroy part of God's creation and cause unnecessary pain and suffering in this world, which is the work of the devil, which removes him further from God.

Then you use your free will to chose satan. Which you're free too do, but freedom of choice doesn't mean freedom of consequence and if you chose to serve satan, you become his minion, which means you'll go where he goes ok judgement day, which is eternal suffering by being parted from God with no way back. The same fate satan and his demons already suffer. They can't redeem themselves because they have omniscience and thus their decision to use their free will to not do God's will is irrevocable. >>544604700
>Why can't God?

>Why would God send thr rapist to begin with?
He doesn't. The rapist chose to rape out of his free will, he choses destruction and serving satan. God doesn't tamper with what humans do with their free will. But the rapist had the freedom to use his free will to not rape and instead help protect someone from being raped instead. That is the lesson the rapist would have to learn here to save his soul.
>So you admit your God is evil and destructive when he commanded it.
No, circumcision made sense when he commanded it and up until Jesus made it obsolete. After Jesus made it obseles is when it became demonic and evil to still do it despite it not being necessary anymore. God hates performative bullshit he did not ask for, which ia why he struck two of Abraham's sons dead in front of thw altar when they sacrificed an animal he did not ask for.
If you give God something that's sacrificial he did not explicitly demand, you're acting destructive out of your own sense of pride and wanting to go above and beyond to redeem yourself. He doesn't like that kind of behavior at all and is why he despises all circumcision that happened after Jesus died on the cross, which dissolved the old covenant and established a new one that did not ask for it anymore.
>>
>>544604734
Yeah, that's your pride talking. That's very dangerous, it's how satan fell. Careful anon.
>>544604752
Yes, he became fully human so he could experience enduring the pain of the flesh himself to sacrifice this pain endured as an offering in exchange for the pain the sinners have inflicted on his creation.
Imagine it like that, God is just, he punishes causing pain to his creation with enduring the same amount of pain. But he knows that the average person causes so much pain to his creation that he's have to throw us all into hell forever, which is why he gave his own body to endure some of the pain for those that genuinely repent because they realize the mistake they have made and stop causing pain to his creation and instead tey to bring healing and joy and beauty to this world. It's his gift for us because he's merciful if he sees someone genuinely wanting to stop using their free will to serve satan.

the main problem with christianity is that you can do literally anything you fucking want and still go to heaven. rape, murder, lie, adulterate, even "mortal" sins are completely forgivable as long as you repent in your lifetime.

now some christcuck will chime in saying "no it doesn't work like that"

it literally does. the death of jesus christ paid the penalty for all human sin - past, present, and future.

God’s forgiveness is accessible to anyone who genuinely confesses, repents, and places their trust in Jesus. As written in 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"

Demons can't have any power over you without you giving them access to you and you give them access to you by engaging eith demonic things, like doing drugs, watching porn, listening to demonic music, engaging in witchcraft, being deceitful, sinning, etc.
God lets demons inflict themselves upon you because you have to learn to keep them out of you yourself. You can always ask God for help, you can cast out all demons in his name but if you keep sinning, they will keep gaining access to you. They are like viruses that are spread via contact with contaminated things. You can't become healthy if you keep wallowing in filth.

It was him asking the tribe he blessed despite them being rather ungodly still (but still the most godly in comparison to all other tribes, which isn't a very good testimony to all the other tribes...) to give up worldly attachements like sexual pleasure and avoiding physical pain in order to prove themselves worthy of a blessing their other behavior didn't necessarily made them worthy of.
>Why does God change his mind just because Jesus tells him to if God is never wrong?
Jesus didn't tell God to change his mind. They are one and the same. Jesus simply informed humans that the conditions have changed. That was God's plan all along, he did not change his mind, he simply adapted the rules to what level of faithfulness those following him were already capable of. The OT followers of God were sitll regularly falling into very demonic bullshit, so he made them snip off the tip of their penis to at least have to give up something that's no fun to give up bevause they lacked the character strength to use self reateaint to deny themselves. Once the faith was given over to the whole world from the tribe that first cultivated it, he changed the conditions because humanity has become ready to use their mind to circumcise their urges via self control. Which is why he chose the roman empire, which was already rather highly developed to spread the faith in all corners of the world.

Only if he genuinely repents and sins no more, yes. Which means he learned his lesson. He's granted the same mercy as everyone else but nobody is forgiven if they don't ask for forgiveness, which means they have to first acknowledge what they did, come to terms with the fact what they did was demonic, have the courage to trust in God's mercy to forgive someone that cause so much destruction, have the balls to stand before God, state what they did, state what they learned from it and ask to be given a chance to redeem themselves. Forgiveness isn't the "oooh oopsie my bad" deal protestants love to make it out to be. It requires God seeing actual and full character development.

The reward is eternal life with God after our flesh dies on Earth. The reward is NOT here on Earth. The Bible is very clear on that, and that Christians are not of this world, and that we will suffer just as Christ suffered.

>>544601852
This is false. You are not Christian so you do not understand which is why you are using this fallacious straw man argument. Christians recognize that this is not our world. We are here for only a small moment in time compared to the eternity we will spend in a perfect, blissful place with God after our flesh dies on Earth. We all die at some point. But only Christians have eternal life in paradise. This man's congregation should understand that. If they don't, then that is his fault for not properly teaching them.

>>544602497
Again you misunderstand. Christians do not die. We have eternal life. Our flesh "dies" but we live forever. We live in a fallen world currently. That is why there is evil and why we suffer. If you don't believe, that is your choice. But creating a straw man argument to attack Christians makes you look like a blithering idiot.

>still doesn’t explain why God allows purely evil things like demons to exist in the first place.
Because if no evil existed, humans could only chose good, which would make giving us free will pointless. Free will as a means to build character only works if there's a "wrong" option to chose.
>Do demons have free will too?
They do, yes.
>Why does their free will supersede ours
Because unlike us, they are omniscient, similar to God but they lack the omnipotence he has. And because they are omniscient, their choices are made for all eternity because they made them knowing everything there is to know. So once they decided to go against God's will, that's that, they can't take it back and they are demons forever.

>Also doesn’t explain why children are randomly born with mental illness, cancer, or other horrible disabilities/diseases.
Not all struggles are automatically due to the choices we made. Sometimes they are due to the choices our parents made or due to no one's fault. The point of struggles like this is not punishment, it's training ground to train your capacity to not despair over circumstances. Nothing that happens in this world is divine punishment, it's all just learning opportunities. The punishment comes on jusgement day.
>How do babies choose to allow demons inside them?
Mental illness is never inborn. Being neurodivergent isn't mental illness. It's also not genetic, there's just a big correlation if your parents are demonically inflicted, your chances are much larger that the same demons will start to inflict you too because you'll be raised in an environment where conditions are good for them to thrive and have power.

No, but just how free speech doesn't mean free feom consequences of what happens after the words leave your mouth, free will doesn't mean free of consequences based on what you chose to do with your free will. If you chose to use your free will to call yourself God, you'll have to accept the consequences of that when the time comes. But ofc you're free to do it.

The demons are the evil. Without them, humans couldn't do evil.
They tempt us to let them do their will through us but everything destructive happening in this world is by definition demonic. It's always the work of demons using humans as their tools to do their will by humans falling for their temptations and using their free will to let them destroy.
>completely unnecessary
No it's not. It's to build resilience and character and to give you chances to chose God. That's like saying your teacher is evil for creating your math problems homework because if he hadn't made the homework, you wouldn't have to solve it but he didn't create them just to torture you out of some sadistic pleasure of making you suffer for no reason but to give you an opportunity to train your math skills so you can get better at math so you can eventually reach your full mathematical potential. If you say "idgaf about foing to hell, I hate you and your moralfaggot minions anyways", go ahead, rape someone. >>
>>544607303
Which is why he didn't make us demons or angels who have a mind and a soul and free will but no body and why he didn't not make us animals that have a bit of all of that and instead made us in his image where he gave us the opportunity to chose creation instead of destruction out of our free will and because we want to put a smile on his face, that is what will ultimately make us into what he wants to spend eternity with, the souls of all those that use their free will to seek him. It's the same as how your AI gf telling you you're so wonderful and she loves you and wants to spend wvery free minutes with you gives you the ick, she has no free will and no soul, so her slime is meaningless. But if a human being with free will and a soul truly gets to know you and wants to be close to you the more they see you, that is what makes one feel loved and valued. The same is probably true for God.

And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Some evils take away other people’s freedom though. Praying alone isn't enough, you also have to stop sinning. And praying to be delivered from suffering is already the wrong thing to pray. Instead ask for strength to endure the suffering and learn the lessons he is trying to teach yoj with it.
>Why does God allow cursed people have kids? Why pass the curse on to innocent children just for being born, instead of giving them a blank slate to prove themselves?
Because he gives everyone the exact battles they need to learn the exact lessons they need to learn.
>People who suffer are more likely to commit evil, so why allow them to suffer and put them on a bad path?
Because he knows how great their capacity is to overcome if they apply themselves. Someone's capacity for sanctification is directly correlated to how intense the lessons are he sends them. Not everyone suffers the same but not everyone was creates to reach the same level of sainthood either. It's similar to IQ, but you can either give your potential to satan or God. Everyone's potential is different and those that have huge burdens to overcome usually have huge potential for sainthood because God only gives you what you can defeat if you give your best. Doesn't mean everyone will defeat their demons and overcome their hardships, some die before achieving that. That usually means they did not try their best.
