They aren't ready to cross that bridge yet. Not until everyone has abandoned Ukraine and a symbolic victory for Ukraine has been established. After a few years there will probably be some bullshit token cooperative effort between Ukraine and Russia for energy and Europe will buy from Russia again. Going through the middle east is the most politically neutral option they have.
