I honestly think that Albania is some kind of slipped-through-the-cracks nation just as the Memedonians next to them. You see a a Tosk from the South which if DNA tested will be just next to Greeks and then you have the Ghegs which appearance look like imported inbred stock straight from the Caucasus. Had the Great Powers not intervened, and Italia as well, I doubt they would have a common identity. Their language is classified as European simply because the linguists couldn't place it anywhere else since they exist in Euro geography and it has some similarities to Hellenic and Latin, structure-wise. No one agrees if it is Illyrian, Thracian or Daco-Moesian.
