As for the other stuff, it is a bad look if they go out and splurge on an expensive steak dinner when they can't cover the rent but other luxuries like nice clothes might have been purchased before they got into their current economic situation. The resale value of an expensive coat is extremely low, so they can't just sell them. Worse is an expensive automobile, which if they sell, they'll need to purchase another in order to still get around. The transaction costs of both vehicles will eat up lots of the price differences between the two, not to mention the risk involved in the cheaper vehicle being a lemon needing expensive repairs.So once again I suggest you lose your access to the internet for being stupid and not thinking through even the most basic and obvious problems with your proposal.
