japan launched today a Mars probe

but its not going actually a Mars but instead it will land on Phobos, a Martian moon

It will take 6 months to arrive there at probe speeds, it doesnt have a huge fuel tank

The robotic probe plans to to take drilling samples from Phobos surface and return to Japan with them

Japan already drilled into an asteroid 3 months ago and the probe was able to return with a sample, it was an asteroid that flies in a orbit in between Earth and Mars

Thats why they believe Phobos mission will also succeed
