why do amerimutts think that lending fortune from a bank to buy a mansion is a form of achievement?
i never understood and they call it "american dream"
nigga you don't own that shit, your bank owns, you are just renting it
why is it a "dream"? it's a literal fucking nightmare

I wonder what the monthly payment will be on that mortgage

Because if you hold debt in a debt based economy you rule the world.

Being in debt is a human right, every human has the right to be in debt since it is the only way to be happy and be free.

My entire goal in life is to one day qualify for a mortgage.
>>
>>544635355
even with a 40% down-payment ($340K), with 6.25% fixed rate, monthly payment will be $4700.

I would kill myself if I found out I would never qualify for a mortgage, my dream in life is to qualify for a mortgage.

>my dream in life is to qualify for a mortgage.
>>
>>544635229
because what retards don't understand is that you actually want to spend most of your life in debt
the economy is rigged to make debt erode away with inflation, you borrow 1 million today for a house, in 30 years 1 million is the price of a loaf of bread
the reason it's like this is the rich make their money from capital gains, and this is your only way to at least partly join that carousel
>>
>>544635680

The ultra-rich are ultra-rich because they took out mortgages.

Your goal in life should be to become so rich that you too can qualify for a mortgage and then take one out.
>>
I have a pos beachfront condo that I overpaid for and they sell for 70% of that now. 739/month hoa that pays for everything so run 2 gaming pcs 24/7

>>
>>544635703
Lol that's not for you goy, you get interest rates that mean you spend your best years paying a bank 600k for a house that cost 200k, that's if the economy doesn't go to hell and you can't pay it back. For sure this last generation seems to have gotten away with it but the one before got fucked to hell and so will you
>>
>>544636020
So getting to live a perfect life is now bad?

Interest rates anchor the value of money, it makes it valuable so you can rule the world.

Why do you not want to rule the world?

what you don't understand is that you get to double dip with a mortgage, the price of your house normally rises over time while the cost of servicing debt decreases because of inflation, it's the most logical investment for a normal middle class person and the reason why housing is so resilient apart from extraordinary crises like 2008
>>

I don’t think i’m special or anything. I simply inherited money and now I can live in a big house. Wonder why anybody else would buy in California like that, though. I’ll just fly out there for a while if I want to be in Cali but it’s culturally horrendous for living

I'm not sure what the American rental market looks like compared to Australia but it's because being a rent serf means having your private domicile invaded every 3-6 months to scrutinise you for daring to exist in the home you are renting, you can't put up any paintings, posters, decorations and have your rent hiked every 12 months or to be told every 12 months that the "owner wants to move in" (landlord wants to evict you and rent the 2 bedroom house to 15 Indians for triple the price)

I'm not a communist but Mao did nothing wrong.

The only winning move is not to play. I reject all usurious systems across the board. I also pulled out of all investments I had as I realized they too are nothing but a vehicle for the rich to make money doing nothing. Shit disgusts me to my core and I want nothing to do with it.

You can be a slave to greed and the systems at play if you want. I will simply choose a different path. Will it cost me more? Absolutely. The right thing to do is rarely ever easy or rewarded.

taxes, insurance, utilities and maintenance all inflated though. By the tkbe you're done paying off the principal those will at least equal your original payment. Also the banks don't even have the money they lend you they create it when you borrow it's just another tax.

File: comfy_trailer_doublewide.jpg (840 KB, 2880x2880)

All I want is an 800 sq ft comfy little trailer on a tiny piece of land. I just want a box to live in. I went to visit a few with my ex. Most of them looked pretty nice. I wouldn't have minded buying one. Except (1) the loan rules are different because these boxes depreciate, and (2) they all come with a fucking 458 dollar a month HOA fee. So I can NEVER own it, I will ALWAYS be paying rent that they can raise AT ANY time.
Don't get me wrong, I know property taxes exist as well, and that is frustrating enough.
But yeah, I'm just not going to invest in society if it's going to be like that. I will just keep on living with my parents at 32. Half my life is gone anyway. 50 year mortgage? LMAO what's the point? To be EIGHTY TWO by the time I own my home? Fuck that.

I was making $25/hour and had $80,000 saved from living with my parents and I still couldn't afford to be TRAILER TRASH. This country is fucked, especially given how many people make way less than me. Fuck this gay earth. I got laid off and turned down TWO job offers because there was no point to even working anymore. I'm not gonna pay $2000 a month just to rent a place to fuck my asian girlfriend (literally the ONLY reason I'd even want an apartment at this point) when the back of my car works just fine. I guess it'd be a bit more comfortable, but wagecucking honestly killed my sex drive from how miserable and humiliating it was.

Total Banker Death.
Total Zoning Board Death.
Total HOA Death.
Total NGO Death.
Total Jeet Death.

you can always just rent for 10 years while saving; it works out to be way cheaper in the longrun and you dont have to pump sheckleburgs bags either
>what about the landlord?
meh, let them deal with the depreciating asset and buy outright when you can where you want

there is no rush on this; dont know why people freak out over loan% and prices within a 5 year span when your dealing with an asset that has a life of 30+ years (mortgage)

>>544643455
>Houses should be 800k minimum
When I looked, my upper limit was 900k and I didn’t really look at anything below 500k. That said, there were plenty of sick ass houses from 600-700 that had most of what I wanted. I just would have got 2.5 acres, less barns, and probably no pool. I didn’t really even want the pool anyway but the rest of the property was basically perfect.
If you didn’t want something big like I did, you can start getting decent ranch style homes with >5 acres starting at maybe 450.
I could never live in or near a big city, though. Not enough space to think or breathe. I don’t even mean rural. Suburbs are fine but fuck cities so hard kek

Move in back with parents or stay in car for a while. The market would adjust. Right now this retard is telling the market that morons are willing to pay 850k at this retarded rate.
