99% of normies in the world have no idea how insanely good this got and how it's changing the world at an exponential pace.
2026 was the last normal year.

name 5 thi gs how insanely good it's got

For coding?
>>
You will still have to wake up tomorrow and go to work by the way, and those dishes needed done yesterday. Same with your laundry.

Change it so I don't have to be a wageslave for basic needs

Coding is a solved problem already. One can speculate that those models will get cheaper and better within months and they'll eventually bring down every software company, then move on to running things in real life more efficiently than any human could.
We're probably going to see dark factories entirely managed by agents this decade.

did you live under a rock or what? woopty doo it has agents stupid black

There is a massive (and growing) gap in understanding AI capabilities between level 2 and level 3 in picrel.
ALL of the naysayers and people saying it's just a bubble that's about to pop or making claims about it not being real intelligence or is just a glorified text autocomplete or can only regurgitate answers from the training data or thinking it can't count the number of Rs in strawberry are all in level 2.
The people in level 3 and 4 are the ones telling you that AI is about to have 10x the impact on society as the industrial revolution in 1/10th the time, or are flipping out because they think AI is about to exterminate humanity.
AI is accellerating at the same pace (or faster) that we predicted a few years ago. We told you that things would get extremely interesting sometime in 2027. Those things could start happening at any moment.
Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google have all independently achieved AGI, ASI, and RSI internally in their labs.
We are already in the Singularity, you just don't realize it yet.
>>
>>544645514
seeing lots of people representing themselves in court just using AI lmao
>>
>>544645514
If we're in the singularity why do sex robots still look like pic rel?
>>
>>544645514
So what can we do?
>>
>>544644256
4.8 is better than 5.5 when it comes to coding.
AI truly is a grift / meme
>>
>>544644256
I used to use local models for for coding, back then I would prompt and it was slow, I had enough time to goon but now not so much with claude, it is so fast I cant even goon anymore, have we gone too far? I have truly been left behind(gooning).
>>
>>544644256
You’re not kidding. Our 8 person team got reduced to 2 people last week. No I’m not one of the 2 that survived sadly. The severance was good but I’m now in a position where I know for certain I will never find a job in this field ever again. I’m probably going to doordash or something similarly humiliating.
>>
>>544646681
I find 5.5 overcomplicates things and I need very careful prompts to keep it from building huge side projects that fall over under their own weight. 4.8 is good but still was a little more drifty than 5.5 IMO. What do you find is better in 4.8?
>>
>>544644256
/pol/ is in a state of total cope about AI. Kind of sad really
>>
>>544645514
your entire narrative is bullshit though.
>would get extremely interesting
>those things could start happening
>at the same pace OR faster
>muh type-a right-brained Level 1 2 3 4 5 6 gorillion
the level 7 people are laughing at every word you just said, knowing full well that energy efficiency and market decimation won't allow your trade federation dream.

>>
>>544644256
what a lie.

it constantly forgets the suggestions that you give it and you have to re-check the code all the time.

Sex robots that feel human are unironically harder then automating every single manual job out there, every single one. We will see 90% unemployment before we see sex robots that don’t look like robots.
>>
>>544644256
i agree with your take. this is something i think about daily. i use two 20x accounts and max both every single week. ai basically does everything in my life, meanwhile midwits use the chat only. and i don't even do half of what opus actually CAN do though ive built some really useful stuff.

the world is going to change so fast in the comin couple of years it's ridiculous. software is basically solved. there's no real reason for websites, apps or anything anymore, you just build what you need and the interfaces and interactions you want.

if we solve the physicality side of things then the entire world will get brutally rekt.

I asked an AI to write a function that calls a publicly documented REST API. It output a function where the arguments were all the inputs you would need to pass to the API. Technically correct, but practically useless.
Its a bit like if you asked doordash for a cake, and they delivered a box of cake mix.

It is 99.9% vibeslop. All I am seeing is mods and emulation going nuts but not in a very novel way. I get it you can questionably put first person in everything now but its also an extreme attack vector waiting for people to poison pill it at any moment. You cant even show off working on a game now or an app. Some jeet or seamonkey will claude code it out in 24 hours and release it before you. Everything is going to be reverse engineered, cracked and whored out and then bugged to death and instead of transformative fair use bullshit they AI companies claim their largest theft in history is they will lock their models down and enforce hardware client side file scans to render encryption useless on your end. It's already built into most hardware and especially in phones. It is going to be overwhelming, funny, and then extremely gay

The world is forever different now for dev/IT work for sure there is absolutely no doubt about that. But the mistake compsci people make is extrapolating the birth of a computer god replacing their jobs effortlessly, is that this is gonna quickly catch up to the rest of humanity. It isn’t.

Some Turks running a hookah shop in Germany aren’t going to get AI’ed away nor some guy running a beloved local diner, not now not in 20 years, because cultural and human elements inherently can’t be replaced with obvious fakes and liked exactly the same. Nor your average medical doctor or technician because there are various laws in place demanding humans in the loop make decisions, air gaps of sensitive hospital equipment etc. Some guy made a full length AI movie and everyone regards it as the cringiest lamest thing ever. Humans do not place value in machine generated shit any more than we would consider a car or lawn mower part of our real family. AI is just a much much fancier and more capable machine, it can’t replace all humanity.

This, imagine trying to tell a guy farming yams in Cameroon that AI is gonna change the world and replace his job and make everyone in his village rich under UBI. He would probably just punch you in the face. Maybe in a decade there will be some solar powered farmer physical AI robot that can roughly do some of his tasks to help and then if it doesn’t get stolen in a week it breaks in a year or two and they don’t replace it, because it was a gift from some charity in the first place, and that will be most of their first hand experience with AI.

You know how when you had factory towns with one big factory that supplied most of the jobs? Even if the factory supplied only 40% or 30% of the jobs, when that factory closed the whole town went to shit, because all the restaurants and shops and services existed mainly to service the factory workers, and then service those that service those factory workers. When you cut the main line, the corporate bs jobs that keep the western economy from collapsing, the IT high paid engineers and non IT highly paid engineers, and the researchers, lawyers and so on, you are left with nobody to sell to, that Turk with hookah shop will not get replaced by AI, but his customers will dry up. And law can change about legality of various practices, or you can just shift responsibility upwards. Doctor just administers multiple times more patients only being there as blame sponge for the machine that diagnoses much more accurately and cheaply.

It's incredible, but can it save us from the upcoming climate crisis? The 2020s are going to be the last "normal" decade in a lot of ways. AI is going to take off exponentially, and so is climate severity. So at this point it's basically a race to see whether climate change collapses civilization first, or AI lifts us into the singularity. I think a lot of people are just banking on AI magically solving climate change, and it very well might be able to come up with solutions, but the question is can they be implemented in time.
A part of the problem too is that many people who believe in the capabilities of AI don't really seem to believe or care about climate change, and vice versa. People who care about the climate tend to hate AI and downplay its capabilities, and people invested in AI tend to disregard the climate or at the very least think we can just "technology" our way out of it. AI and climate are the two most important things in regards to our future, in fact maybe the only truly important things, and an ideology that sees that is the only way out. Any ideology that shuts its eyes to either is a dead end path for humanity. AI is going to change humanity, and the climate crisis is happening. These aren't things to be debated anymore. The only thing left to do is adapt, or don't.

>I'm level 3 and still think it's glorified autocomplete.
No, you are in level 2 on the other side of the understanding gap and don't actually understand any of this stuff nearly as well as you think you do.
>>
>>544645410
And then immediately proceed to leak all your users personal info because you're an rtard who didn't think to employ any data protection or security at all and the AI doesn't do what you don't know to tell it to do.

Most of the researchers in the frontier labs are smoking cigarettes now because they are so confident that the models will completely cure cancer in the next few years. They want to signal that they are all in and willing to bet their own lives on it.
