i saw one of these vids of a commie block in yakutsk. on the outside it looked like third world hell. so did the inside staircase. then as soon as she opens the door to the actual apartmen, that shit looked better and more modern than expensive ones in rich western neighorhoods lmao. peak comfy.

According to one gal in a video I saw the building tenants hire/pay a service company to take care of the building exteriors and staircases but they just dont do shit. Its often struck me as dumb that Russians in those complexes dont just band together for a day or two to fix up the surroundings, apply some paint, fix the playgroundss, etc. Maybe they prefer it that way? Or maybe they dont give a shit because its under snow and sludge for half the year?
