Japanese butthurt about China is so bizarre. At least Russia actually invaded and occupied her butthurt belt, so they have a few good reasons to dislike us. But with Japan it’s the other way around. China gave them everything - culture, architecture, hieroglyphics, poetry, religion etc., you name it, while asking for nothing in return. Never even attempted to invade them despite historically holding much more power. And instead of being grateful Japanese organized a brutal invasion to colonize and slaughter Chinese with no justified reason at all. And after being defeated they are the ones with the massive butthurt towards China. I legitimately fail to understand the logic behind this. They are mad because Chinese dared resist their expansionist war against them? And at the same time, they religiously worship the very people that nuked them twice, occupied their land and enforced completely foreign customs on them. This is some surreal slave mentality that is next to impossible to comprehend. The very foundations of their mindset are twisted beyond understanding.

Now, I may be very wrong here, but it appears to me that this inferiority-superiority paradox in the Japanese mentality comes mostly from the Meiji restoration when they essentially for the first time accepted that their own culture was inferior to the Western one and subsequently fully surrendered to the Western philosophy.
