Alcohol was an important part of mankind's development throughout the agricultural revolution, becoming an important part of the development of societies and their development. This also served as a social lubricant so even the incels and chuds in ancient cities like Babylon could go to the tavern and be a part of the community. It was important in Europe especially, ancient peasant farmers had to drink ale in Europe as the water sources were contaminated. And I could list you hundreds of writers, leaders, artists, philosophers and other men of renown who were heavy drinkers. Now I think I know why the want this to happen. The British navy had a mandatory happy hour in 17th and 18th centuries where they would receive a ration of 2.5 pints of grog as the water on board ships would become contaminated. And these men created the greatest empire the world has ever seen. The UK ended this noble tradition in the 1970s. The Founding Fathers of the United States were all raging alcoholics, don't believe me? Look up George Washington's farewell party receipt.
