99% of television, social media, forums and other communication platforms are censored because "think of the children". You can't post about violence, you cant show anything about the harshness of reality. The consequence of this is that people won't be properly informed, they'll underestimate the dangers, and they'll develop a naive, overly rosy view of reality. This shapes day-to-day politics and how we respond to everyday dangers.
